SkyCity refused me play because of an old exclusion (requested the account closed) under a MTsecure brand when they launched, bet365 just perm banned me for requesting a temporary time out and I haven't played at a 888 brand since 2017 lol

They'd have to get one of the new licenses that our government is peddling and I doubt they are big enough to compete with the big players and their deep pockets.

It's going to be a disaster, who wants to play on the lucky few 15 casinos that will want to protect their margins so will be offering lower RTP titles etc as a result. 96.5% becomes 92-94% etc and players suffer more harm losing money quicker all so the Gov can make upto it's estimated 179m/yr.

Further to that theres no information I've seen what benefit this brings to its players, the info about requiring a disputes process gives them 40 working days to investigate/respond to complaints(8 weeks is nuts). When we go for a full local system why not bring in similar to gamstop and UK regs, allow refunds for people who were allowed to deposit/lose funds when they shouldn't have been able to etc.

Will just drive people to the dodgy crypto casinos etc. I know I will be going to other regulated casinos outside NZ still if they allow it.
