Hey smart people;

why is it that a slot is unavailable to me due to my location at Rizk but playable at BetVictor? I encounter this with NetEnt slots at various casinos quite often.

Rizk Casino is an award winning Accredited Casino here at Casinomeister
Same issue here
I'm in Ireland . Where you based?

Depends in which countries the casino has them under license from Netent, MG, Play'N GO etc. The more countries the more they have to pay in license fees to the game provider.

My take on it, but can't 100% confirm it.

Are you referring to Net Ent Games in this instance. If you can give me the exact game i can tell you why we restrict it in that territory at least.

The number of countries is completely independent from the game provider fees and I have NEVER seen this be the case in 15 years in gaming. Thre are 3 major reasons why a country is restricted - firstly it is restricted by the game provider. secondly it is restricted by one of the gaming regulators that an Operator either has a licence with or is/will be applying for a licence with. thirdly it is not economically viable for an operator because a certain territory has additional payments on top of other operational costs (eg Austria/Germany & Ireland all charge VAT on game win)

Since I live in Ireland maybe the VAT deal is the reason why I can't hit the side of a barn door with a Bazooka at Rizk and All Irish casino among others:D:D

I appreciate your input Captain Rizk - the slot was Well of Wonders (having read members reviews of the slot in question I am nearly hanging my head in shame :oops:) . I was playing it at BV yesterday and went across to Rizk to continue on the same but deposited without actually accessing the slot first to ensure I was not restricted - and I was.

I am encountering more and more restrictions at BV in the last 3 months or so. It would seem Australian's are close to being restricted on more slots than not. In addition, I cannot access Starburst here as well as 70% of any new slots launched at BetVictor.

On the same vein, I believe Aristocrat slots are restricted for Australian players yet funnily enough I can play them at Betsson - does this have anything to do with the currency you wager there as the only notable difference for me at Betsson to all other casinos I play in (MG, NetEnt and one Playtech from time to time) is I am forced to play in USD at Betsson - all other casinos I play at allow me to deposit and play in AUD.

Ah OK, that makes sense now. So with Well of Wonders, this is a Thunderkick game and all Thunderkick games (as well as a few others) are provided to us via Nyx. Nyx have restricted Australia and Canada as territories for all of the content that they supply to us. However if we were to have had a direct integration with Thunderkick then we would probably have been able to launch this in your market. Therefore in summary, this is down to Nyx as the content aggregator not wanting operators to work in certain jurisdictions that may impact on one or more of their current or future licences and most generally will feed back to either existing or planned licences in the US.

As for Aristocrat and Betsson i cannot comment.
