Anybody know where to get payout % for Atlantic City Casinos? I just came back from there and lost at both Hilton and Trump Marina. Slot managers at both places were clueless on their respective casino's payout, but the one at trump marina admitted they were in the bottom tier.

They will give you all kind of excuses for not giving you this information, but will happily take your money. The only place that was jumping down there and people having a good time was the borgata.

STRICTLY SLOTS MAGAZINE, see www.casinocenter.com for more info. on the magazine....not sure how New Jersey's Gaming Control Board or similiar handles (as I do know how Nevada does) so check their website and maybe give the Board a call. Figures generally are released as one figure for an area for each month but not for individual casinos.

I used to subscribe to Strictly Slots, Casino Player, Atlantic City Insider and Atlantic City Magazines. Very useful info. I can't afford to buy them anymore because I've gambled all my money away!

I found this page:

via Google; too bad the information is from 2002.

Notice an interesting trend? It seems the higher denomination machines you play, the better the payouts. You won't even see 94+% until you play the $5+ machines. I wonder if that's still true today.

The best slots for that month seem to be at AC Hilton, which paid a whopping 101.3% for the $100 machines. :D

edit:

Check out the results from

, and it seems this trend is still in effect (As of 2006 at least)

Yep,, that's always been the case with slots Win, as far back as I can remember the larger the denomination the looser the slot, has always been my experience, which makes sense if you really think about it and if you ever play a lot of slot machines at a B & M casino you will see a noticeable difference in how different each denomination plays over the course of time spent on each one....

I posted the Las Vegas area pay-outs from the October 2006 SS and CP issues which if I remember correctly were the payout figures for July 2006 in two threads and one of the threads was the HOW SLOTS WORK or very simliar title. Maybe one of the link specialists (hint RW or WB) can post the link in this thread which shows RW's post to be very accurate...off to my music social club, lol!!!

I believe this is the LINK you were referring to Nash...

The problem with those published lists are if you have a big winner in a certain denom, those numbers would be inflated. Like the 101% machines previously mentioned. I guess the only true way to kinda know the payout would be to take x number of months of those numbers and average them for that denom then take that average and average that with the number of machines or units for that area, that'll give you some idea of what to expect from the machines you play.

Of course since S2000 and video slots are mostly on the floor now, it doesn't take much more than a key turn and push a few buttons to change the returns on the machines, less than 5 minutes. Back in the day you had to call gaming, get new chips, pull the boards and change the chips in there, coin test the machine afterwards, etc. 20 or so minutes per machine. Much easier to change your popular games on Thursday morning or afternoon to a lower return and switch them back on Monday. Not that any casino would ever do that, most techs are far too busy fixing bad BV's, repairing monitors, explaining that there's no such thing as a win switch to customers, etc.

Gambling is all luck, you have the same odds of hitting the top jackpot across all the available returns for each theme, the 98% machines just hit any bars and the other bar pays a little more often.

Also unlike BJ which math and statistics (standard deviation and variance) rule and definitive expectations are known with certainty (based on playing optimal BS or even card counting), slot paybacks (although some are quoted by time intervals) really are based on infinity (or enough spins per the PAR sheets Brianzz has posted previously like 10 million). I think payout ratios often mislead those who think they should have achieved near quoted payout ratios after a couple thousand or many more spins. Absolutely incorrect and as Brianzz implied these payout ratios for small periods of time can easily be skewed or as the saying in real estate goes 20% of the agents are making 80% of the total commissions!

I dont know but I can tell you that the Trop got the loosest slots award 5 years in a row:D Ive won many many times in ALL games, even table

Hilton will suck you dry with the exception of the occassional win

Ceasars use to be very loose until the update, havnt won since they remodeled. I use to hit left and right at that place until 3 yrs ago

Trump Marina is good, Im surprised you didnt get any good hits there

Never won a cent at Bally Wild Wild West (sorry deb lol)

I dont go any further than that on the boardwalk

How dare you Babs!lol
I guess you win where you play the most. I have won a lot at Ballys, Hilton and Trump Marina. I have won a lot at the Trop as well. Actually that is where I had my first big win. I hit $1600 on a $1.00 Haywire machine. Never got to go to Tivoli Pier though. We were always too busy gambling!
I know the Sands was kind of old but I always liked it there. They had a great place called Rossis Italian gourmet buffet. You know I love my buffets!

When I got my win loss statement from 2007, I couldn't believe that i lost at every single casino i played at. That included all total rewards casinos in AC (Bally's, Ceasars, Harrahs), Harveys and harrahs in Lake Tahoe and harrahs chester. Also lost at trump marina, Trop, hilton. It was a real eye opener because i realized I wasn't doing so well, but didn't think it was that bad.

So far this year i've really backed off the gambling both in AC and Chester. Maybe it's bad luck, but overall I think the odds are rather poor if you like slots. Total Rewards gave me a free trip to any of their casinos so I'm leaving for Harrah's Rincon in San diego on thursday....really have to be careful because these casinos just don't seem to pay anymore. If anything, I'll stick to table games, but it's just so hard to stay away from those high limit slot areas.

debbie? (newer debbie lol)

How do you like Harrahs Chester? I live about 1/2 hour from there. I like it alot because it seems like its never got that packed feeling. I like how the slots are placed and Ive won more times than lost when I go there.

Ive been going less and less to the Trop, Im not happy about it but when you are a low roller, to spend all of that gas and time , if you lose right away your kind of stuck unless you sleep over, with Harrahs, its so close you can just go for 1/2 hour and go home if your luck is dry.

Powerball is my favorite machine, and the other machines that are good are the The two Triple 7's machine that are right next to the 2 endcap quarter top dollar machines (the first set of them, not the second set)

Got this e-mail last night and the young lady who was one of the Harrah's reps in NV is not coming back to Nashville:( as she has received a tremendous well derserved promotion:thumbsup::) to Regional Marketing Director of all 4 of the current Harrah's props in Atlantic City......Thought I would pass this along as she may be able to help some forum members out (although they have some guidelines of the roller they covet I think she may be willing to help out most forum members with some perks and comps if I give her a heads up and maybe even it can be a win-win for you and her as some members may network her referrals...ftr she has no idea I posted this or I am even a member of an online gambling forum, she is just a good person and as I said I think she will help out all forum members at my request but keep your expectations realistic somewhat based on play-->>PM me if I can help anyone and I will contact her initially for you)...Note her cell number below is a Nashville number and I assume it will now change eventually. All other numbers should be permanent!!

Babs in no way whatsoever would I hesitate to call Cara for you so you do not hesitate to ask if I ever can try and help. I know you are very loyal to the Trop. which like me I believe in loyalty especially where one is comfortable and treated well like you are at the Trop... but I would try my best for you just like anybody else if you ever desired...I can not guarantee anything as Cara's hands may be tied but this may also be one of those situations where the old cliche applies "It is who you know"....so keep it in the back of your mind just in case:)

harrah's chester used to be really good for at least 9 months of 2007. When they first opened back in early 2007, i was playing there alot in their high limit area. i really enjoyed it as I was winning and losing, but thought it was fair. I played so much, i got the 7 stars card. then in about Oct of last year til recently, there high limit slots are dreadful. You can't win anything and even my host there said she's receiving alot of complaints from her players.

one day I was in that room and one of the attendents was cleaning around the machine. She said "I guess you can see i'm really bored". I said yes, because there's never anybody in here. So, she said they got really greedy and can't wait til the new casinos open near the river. Apparently, their tips have gone way down as well. The competition will make harrahs' chester change.

I recently came back from Harrahs' Rincon which was just as bad. when i checked in, the host told me to be careful with the slots because she's been told they're very tight. I should've listened because i lost there as well. I asked the slot supervisor what the payout percentage was. Same response as every other casino...doesn't know.
