Hi Folks:

Last year, I started taking pictures of my slot wins. Where possible, I also take video. I add music and captions, and more recently commentary, and package them up in an entertaining format.

The Shamus Slot Hits videos are all available on my channel:

The videos from 18 to 26 are all from my most recent trip to Las Vegas, when I visited Treasure Island, Red Rock, M Resort, The Cosmopolitan, Green Valley Ranch, South Point, The Venetian and Palazzo.

While some of the hits are not huge, the multiples are at least 40x the bet ... and several of the games are less than a month old.

Your mailbox is full ... this is likely the answer to the issue you are experiencing when trying to imbed YOU TUBE video:

Recently, YOU TUBE changed the format of some of their links -- and the websites do not seem to recognize the link (yet). To work around the issue ... you should be able to get the "fully qualified" URL from the command line on your web browser. Try cutting and pasting that.

Great to have some locals checking out my videos!! I really like your casino as well. Hopefully they will continue to bring in some new games. The casino was amazing when it was first built ... but they could use an influx of new titles to turn things over a bit.

No, your spins are picked at random based on which color record the arm chooses which also correlates to rpm settings that old players had, black, 16 spins, bronze, 33 spins, silver, 45 spins, and gold, 78 spins.... Then, during the free spins, u can retrigger with 3 or more scatters, and again, the arm chooses one of the four record sizes...

I try to include a number of the latest games from my local casino. For example, "Attack From Mars" or "Revenge From Mars" is actually two separate slot machines in the same cabinet. You can play as Earth defending against Mars, or the other way around. You can track your trophies (which are awarded for large hits) online. This game is from WMS Gaming ... and Lord of the Rings, and The Price Is Right: The Ultimate Game also use the same Player's Life engine. The website has won several industry awards now ... and is currently nominated for more. It is tying the "bricks and mortar" experience to internet, but totally separate from online casinos (ie. there is no wagering online).

Crusader's Heart and the Alice in Wonderland Games (Mad Scatter and Through the Looking Glass) are only a few weeks old -- so you should see them in local casinos over the next 3 or 4 months.

Buffalo Spirit is a newer G+ Deluxe game from WMS Gaming.

Figaro is an IGT (High 5 Games) game which has been out at least 6 month.

If you have any specific questions about games -- fire away ... I'm pretty knowledgable in the area of "bricks and mortar". :)

All of my video or photos are from games at land-based casinos in North America. My last 10 video feature hits from Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. My next hits will be from the MGM Grand and Motor City Casino in Detroit Michigan.

Hi SlotMonster:

For sound (voiceover), I use Sound Forge Audio Studio by Sony. For the editting, I use Pinnacle Studio Ultimate (it's very easy to use). I use "Photoscape" for photo editting/cropping (does a reasonable job).

If you look at my channel, you can see my skills progress from knowing nothing (vid # 1), to a decent editor in Slot Hits # 43.

Found this one on YT. It´s showing a slot from a land - based casino: the guys were lucky by hiting 5 explorers on the possible maxbet (2 € ~ 3,5 USD).

Awesome vids man. But my conclusion is after watching alot of theese videos are; landbased casinos/slots pays very bad.

There isnt a deposit i make on microgaming where i dont hit atleast 200x, which seems very rare on your videos.

From what I have learned on CASINOMEISTER, it is not unusual for online casinos to pay 95%. There is a lot of competition in cyberspace! The average landbased casino likely pays around 90% overall (all denominations). However, this may not account for the lack of 200x hits.

It is possible that the math models emphasize more frequent smaller hits. Playing with cash in a "bricks and morter" casino definitely has some differences.

Thanks for the great feedback on the videos! The payback percentage on land-based slots is quite variable. Typically ... 1-cent pays the worst ... as low as 85% or so. For 5-cent, you can get up to 91%, and a little higher for 25-cent.

There are many reasons online pays better. Land based casinos have more bills ... but they also give away a lot of comps ... even a low roller can get some free nights of lodging ... and some free meals and play. Higher rollers will get free show tickets and lots of other perks!

Also ... in many places, casinos do not have a lot of competition. Many cities only have a single casino. In many states, players have no way of knowing the payback, because it does not have to be published. Even in states where it needs to be published -- the Native American casinos do not need to publish their numbers -- and they run a good percentage of the casinos in the US and Canada.

So ... from a purely payback perspective ... that would be an advantage of the internet.
