Should I be concerned about having money in Odds On casinos?

I have a few hundred both pending (only for 2 days)and in a poker room that I have won a fortune in and cashing out has been at times slow but nearly $10,000 over a few months I understand. They are an odds on casino claiming to be closely related in more then just software company to english harbour. It is Bigbetpoker. Lately it has been slow and there has been talk that things are in trouble, a skin of theirs called pokerpot bailed this past week from a skin agreement. If they fail do you know if english harbour guarantees this or anyone or would I be S.O.L.?

Hi Pokeraddict,

For now, I would say you have no worries. What exactly is the talk that there are troubles? Since they are licensed in Antigua, there is more control exercised there. There is a gaming authority that has a semi-high profile. In Costa Rica, there is no gaming authority.

In the unlikely event that this operation were to fail (sounds like an airline flight safety briefing), I would guess it would be absorbed by the EH group and all debts would be paid. And as far as I can tell, all indicators point to "yes" that the EH group is here to stay. There is no comparison to them and the slip-shod managed 40+ casino that went down.

That is fair comment by a straight arrow portalmaster, I believe. EH has a good rep so far and appears to be successful so one can I think safely assume that if any of it's associates goes under it is pretty sure they would look after business.

Unfortunately, EH have fallen short of my personal expectations and disappointed me in the Forty Plus affair by:

1) Expressing confidence in a software provider like Odds On who is clearly not behaving in either a professional or player-sensitive manner and

2) Not being straightforward in answering the widely asked question of whether EH confirms or denies having an ownership connection with Odds On or Pierre Gagnon.

The truth will eventually out in this Forty Plus affair, and hiding behind a wall of silence is only going to cause embarrassment at some point in the not-too-distant-future.

The issues have been slow payment, lies about stuff like "Prepaid atm requires 10 day wait period" Pokerpot bailing on skin because of slow pay and bad management. Many people have waiting 10-20 days for seemingly small withdraws. $500 ish. My jackpot took a month but I expected that. The first payment was timely, the others became slower and slower. The played who hit the $12,500 end of jackpot needed 6 weeks to get his. Knowing that 2 people in the know figure I'm safe thats good for me. I dont need the $$ now and all the $$ ive cashed out there even a last few hundred never making here wouldnt be end of world, just wanted some opinions as to whther I should stop playing there and try and csh it all out.

There was another jackpot hit at bigbet for about only $5000 cause it was micro limit game. Wonder how this will go. They took the beat the manager promo, splash pots and the $100 daily high hands on 4 games only holdem remains) away. I guess they are trying to stop the bleeding. I have had a cashout pending for what i would call the edge of reasonable time. Will keep posted. I recently made cashouts from both EH and CG both took only 48 hours.

Guess I will get the real answer ot this question this week since I have just over $200 at bigbet as they end real money games. I have spoken to virtual excahgne who assure me I will be paid by end of week.
