Reading the news is so frigging depressing lately. If it's not some catastrophic event like an earthquake or tornado or plane crash or explosion, it's human beings doing horrible things to each other.

In the UK we have no control over who enters provided that the people entering come from a member state of the EU. In addition, our policies on removal of illegal immigrants are often restricted based on humans rights issues that are dictated to us by the EU. Add to the the pretty poor enforcement of removing such people and you have a situation that results in the government not really having much idea just how many people actually ARE here.
As for letting people in in the first place, the situation is not that simple. We have a wide ethnic diversity in the UK and by and large that is a good thing. These people in the photo could quite easily be of British nationality and the 2nd 3rd or 4th generation of honest law abiding immigrants who entered the UK years ago - they are as British as I am in the eyes of the law and so they cannot be ejected. That said, the UK HAS become a soft touch and often EU policy has robbed us of our right to govern on certain matters. The country is in bad shape full stop and I for one look forward to the day that I leave to live elsewhere. Furthermore the governments willingness to tolerate this open displays of racial hatred towards the population majority make me sick to my core. Democracy is one thing but displays like that should not be tolerated

It has been played here on the local news as well as the national media , just so sickening to watch those evil bastards running around spouting off the hatred that seems to be going on all around the world.

My heart goes out to the family of this soldier , the world needs to take a stand against these animals and thats what they are and quit trying to find common ground and peace as that is not in their hearts as seen so so many times. As a woman of faith , it makes me question sometimes all the evil and bad things that go on around us but I put my faith in the Almighty as he will show us the way, this I trust as a child of God !!!

Exactly. The retaliation has started - the EDL (English Defence League) are a protest group against radical islam. They have tripled their Facebook likes to 90,000+ in 24 hours. 2 attempted attacks on mosques have been reported with arrests made. Most of those rioting in Sweden are living off the Swedish taxpayers on benefits, and very few of them are genuine 'war refugees'. As Maria said if they hate Sweden and where they live so much, then put them on a plane back to the Islamic fly-blown states from whence they came. The world, and the West, can do without them.
The cancer of political correctness and liberalism has emboldened these scum so much that they even bite the hand that feeds them. If the so-called mainstream political parties won't act, then only two entities can: the far-right parties, or the indigenous people themselves. I agree - this is a pretty shocking state of affairs that something like that is not reported in the news. I have just found it on the BBC website right at the bottom of the Europe section of the news - underneath many other stories that to my mind are less significant. This kind of thing worries me in the extreme as there is already an increase in support for right wing groups and events like yesterdays further sow seeds of discontent with the general population. This is typical of the media in the UK though and I tire of their softly softly approach with regards to such reporting. As for people speaking up en masse I think it is already happening. The rise in support for UKIP is surely an indication that people have given up faith in the system and want out of the EU, and yet the media still portray those who support EU exit as madmen. I am not sure that it is the solution but it does illustrate the bias of the media. People ARE waking up - you can feel it in the air and hear it in the conversations of others that you hear in passing in the street. People are not happy with the way of things - I have lost count of the number of people I have heard say that they feel like they are a second class citizen in their own country due to the government bending over backwards to please minority groups at the expense of the majority. We can see from the London riots that the population is not happy in general and you can just feel in the air that there will be some kind of public response to this. It will kick off here very soon.

I disagree. Ted Bundy was a disturbed individual. Timothy McVeigh was a disturbed individual. When 90% of your population supports Sharia, they can't be all "disturbed". These people aren't all dumb or mentally insane, the problem is cultural.

I am really not happy about it but I will have to agree with you here.

I think you can gain a lot of insight from looking at some Islamist dominated countries and ask yourself if that is what you want your Country to become.

I have a problem with all organized religion; do what you think is right and good, not what some old guy in a big throne up in the sky says to do.

I would have no problem with Muslims if they purged their religion of the violent extremists, changed their views on women, and renounced their bloodthirsty punishments for crimes like cutting off a young persons hand because they shoplifted or killing a young girl because she was raped by her uncle.
