I've been gambling online for a little over a year. I also rent rooms, and internet access is part of the package.

While my current housemate does not gamble online, I have a new tenant coming in this month. How does a casino determine if there are multiple accounts?

I would assume for any casino I currently play at, the new account would be the one ineligible for bonuses, but could my winnings be voided if someone else opened up an account at a casino I play at?

And I do not expect to be privy to all the doings of a tenant? Can I ask a casino to check if another "household" member has an account before signing up, or is this a breach of the other player's privacy?

Almost every time I make a deposit, I have some fear that some reason will be found not to pay me. It seems like it happens so often.

If I were you, I'd inform the casinos you already have accounts with - and check with any new casinos before opening an account.

Some of them will be happy so long as they know in advance - and some will not accept play from additional accounts under any circumstances, so basically you'll have to treat it as case-by-case.

Like Spear said, let the casinos you play at know ahead of time and I don't see any problem.

And one more thing....

Be sure to save any and all chat and emails regarding your permission to have multi-household accounts. just in case there's any future problems- C.Y.A. -cover your....

Necromancy is alive and well ;)

Mr Meister.... just a thought... how hard would it be to implement a warning pop up ''You are about to post in a thread that has had no posts in the last XX months. are you sure?''

OOC Jasmine... did it ever become an issue?

Not yet. But tenants come and go.

One current tenant does play poker online, but at a site I don't have an account at, and he uses his own 3G network to do so.

I told him I gamble online, and to check with me first before joining any online casino, to make sure a) it's not a rogue or dubious operation, and b) that I don't already have an account there.
