Now, my question is, and please don't mistake me for a rocket scientist,I'm not, When you read the above section about live statistics, and "All data is provided in real-time so operators can monitor operations and react to events as they happen." in particular, does that mean what it says literally? If so, then i guess they really can throw a switch on and off at will. Just an observation. Any thoughts?

Interesting! Strange when I compare the RTG site Current and Archived one how its changed. E.g these days absolutly no info about RTG or its operations just a form for prospective clients. Does make you think though.

I have not had a switch issue in some time... but I did today. Slow reels, reels 3-5 stopping before 1 and 2. And after a hit of 120x my bet, the next $30 worth of spins at .50cents each had two which paid above that bet size...

The stop spin button would respond up to 7 seconds after clicked. And most annoying to me, the time intervals between the reels release and the reels clicking down to stop was varied and different.

The casino said it was my internet connection. I was streaming "The Good Wife' the entire time and I did not once see the dload rate change from a stagnant 1.3mbs. Maybe it was the connection their server had to the internet? But otherwise...

Very interesting indeed. Transparency is ZERO when dealing with clients. Players cry and kick up a storm to initiate a response from RTG Casinos - even the accredited ones have their fair share of controversy. Makes you wonder why so many RTG Casinos are rogue and why so many of them employ questionable terms and tactics. The more I read about RTG, the more i realise what a GEM Microgaming is.

RTG and other brands always gather controversy (more often than not) with their tactics and poor returns to players. Seeing what happens on this thread, leads me further and further away from RTG...

Lately, I have been convinced that measures have been applied to my gaming at all RTG casinos across the board. Never would I go to a landbased casino so many times and not be able to win "something" at least. Counting my last two deposits at Slotastic, I am now 119 deposits since my last win. Normally on a 100% match bonus, it's not unusual for me to only get 50% though the playthough on the bonus. I'm only betting 20c - 40c per spin, but mostly 20.

Most ppl claim they gamble for entertainment. I guess there are those that do so for monetary gain. Lets say you cashout the next deposit at an RTG casino. Unless its for a hundred times ur average deposit, i would wager a small fortune that this is no longer fun, and it's long run the chance of being profitable. So why are you still playing? Maybe to make me feel better bout 20 deposits sans w/d from Dec '10-Jan '11? If so, thanks! I think I would be giving up after 119 deposits. Then again, logic tells me i should have given up after a dozen or so, and I didn't. I'm not knocking ya, I just wonder, are you doing some research, or is it entertainment?

To be honest, I play these RTG's daily as well, and my stats are down so much in the past 8 months. But I am drawn to the games... These RTG's are to present day what crack was to the 1980's. I think there must be some neuro-chemical that is highly addictive which is released in the brain when that 'feature' bell that goes off.

*******RRRRRRIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG****

Its kinda similar to the bell one hears at the county fair or the church carnival 'balloon' races when the winner is declared by the same bell just after the pop of the bursting balloon... You know the game, the one where the winner is decided by shooting a stream of water into the clowns mouth which in turn inflates the balloon above said clowns head.

And ppl seem to dump serious coin into those games for what must be the tangible equivalent to the constant losses at RTG; a crappy poly-styro-foam novelty doll or a 70 dpi picture of Axel Rose and Slash jamming in the back yard of a luxurious house with pool and vixens sunbathing, then stuck behind a cloudy piece of plexiglass and stuffed in a cardboard frame. What else could explain post after post of negative results wrapped in a blistering cycle with futile deposits and the occasional big hit which is seemingly always just too small to stop? Oh yeah that big hit might... No...It's gotta be that bell...

Because the "addict" hears that small voice in the back of the brain which says, "try it again, this may be the BIG ONE!". And most of us do exactly that, deposit after deposit. And then when we are so angry and frustrated, what do we do??? WE DEPOSIT AGAIN! (Because logic tells us it is impossible to keep losing, that big win is just around the corner).

The entertainment value is gone, JMO, 5 years ago you could deposit $20 and play for hours ( now that's entertainment) and you would stand a chance of MAYBE withdrawing. BUT, now you deposit, play for 5-10 minutes, lose, go to bed/or deposit elsewhere. The fun is gone. The player now has to worry about if they will receive their money IF they should be able to win. The player has to worry whether or not they have broken some hidden or convoluted term. The player has to worry if they have played within the "spirit of the bonus" or have they played in the style of an "advantage player".

For some players, they don't have the choice of being able to play at the more "sophisticated" MG casinos or some of the other reputable casinos. US players have limitations and this is where the problems start. The few "choice" casinos are now enlisting stall tactics with withdrawals, enforcing asinine T&Cs, or simply giving the player the "talk to the hand" attitude. The only other choice is to give up the online scene and return to the B&M.

On the other hand, some of these RTG operators know they have the US player by the "throat" (so to speak) if the player wants to gamble. The player looks to see what is the lesser of the evils and makes their choice on where to play. Until RTG tightens the reins on the operators (to protect THEIR reputation), nothing will change. We will still see the same crappy returns and the same crappy attitudes from CSR.

Just my two cents...

I have to say that 119 deposits without a cashout is insane, altough I'm far over 50 now myself on RTG, its been more than a year ago since I've last cashed out from RTG. (that was at Lock just before the disaster, I still miss them:()
On the other hand, you won 6 Random Jackpots the year before? Or 7?
Don't you think they would have flipped that switch after 2 or 3 RJ's if they could?
I mean, 3 randoms is already 3 more than most people will hit in their entire lifetime.
I never hit one so far. Don't think I ever will.

Apart from not beeing able to win there are too many tech issues with RTG lately that ruin my gaming experience, like the Randoms on crack and the slow spinning reels (altough ClubWorld seems to have the RJ's behave normal again)

If I just stick to MG and avoid LOTR I'll be fine.:D

I loved your post how very well put

Yep, that bell keeps calling for me (us) It's simply genius. I have not found the equivalant to that anywhere. When f x TSII is generous and throw coins at you it's kind of a kick, but it doesn't compare really.
And for me not having sufficient dopamine to begin with, I'm totally hooked.

And ppl seem to dump serious coin into those games for what must be the tangible equivalent to the constant losses at RTG
;

Well, here's some news. I've been playing RTG for two years without any major winnings and my stats are just fine :)
For me control is essential since I'm definitely in the risk zone for ending up poor and miserable. Therefore I stick to low wagering and I stay happy.
I don't win much but I'm never unhappy or disappointed when I lose.
I know that if I lose control, if only for a short period, I will have to quit entirely, so I don't cross that border to high wagering even if I'm tempted.
I wanna keep hearing those bells...

All data is provided in real-time so operators can monitor operations and react to events as they happen.

I've had a weird image in my head especially when that emerald, caboose, dracula or whatever swooshes by for the 58th time or so. Tried to find something similar to that image and so it happens...

But seriously, what could the above mentioned mean in reality for any unscrupulous operator? What would be technically possible when it comes to monitoring operations and react to events, in real time.
F x is it possible for the casino, on any given day, to change the payout rate at their own convenience? A question old as dirt maybe, forgive me my ignorance :o

PS Sorry about the posters disappearing don't know what I do wrong
