Sadly the incomparable Meatloaf died to day aged 74. Some brilliant compositions and music especially when he teamed up with Jim Steinman, now both this amazing team have departed.
Another icon passes, and shocking as you'd expect.
I remember I'd Do Anything For Love absolutely dominating the U.K Charts for what must be ten weeks, and that video's operatic flair. And even that song was essentially at the tail-end of a glorious career, with him also partaking in many other ventures such as acting etc.
It's fair to say there'll never be another that compares, he was one of a kind. R.I.P
Can't believe Bat Out Of Hell was released in 1977. Guess I am showing my age, as my Ex - part time DJ at the time - always played this at his gigs just after its release.
From that album, one of my favourite songs of all time is Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad.
As for 'I Won't Do That' - I could never understand the mystery surrounding the song. He states quite clearly what he wouldn't do, so I don't understand why it ever became such a 'thing'.
