The Hand of God has finally reached out for him.
He was the Bonanza of footballers, volatile but brilliant overall. RIP.

Oh fck, didn't realize first it's same day. Hope all coming same class footies stars make a note and be extra careful in November. 1986, first world cup i really remember following, what a great world cup and Maradona show.
Think these days footie (and sport in general) stars live longer if they just keep their lifestyle healthy, these days it's not really that possible to drink and use other substances like old days and still be able to play top of the world.

He had his issues, but few players have ever been 'cheated' against as much as Maradona was. The fouls, elbows and shirt-grabbing he experienced would not be tolerated in today's game.

Grapes are still sour? 1986 is a long time ago fellas... It would've gone to VAR now and disallowed but Argentina would've still won.

RIP Maradona.
A fantastic footballer.
All footballers cheat and most people have done some wrong along the way. Football is literally the only sport where cheating is literally coached.
I didnt know the guy personally but i hear there is a photo somewhere of him dancing with Ronnie Wood both with their tops off sweating. Must have been after this one i guess.......
