For what it's worth Simmo I think it's BS too. You don't go to a land based casino and have to go through this crap so you shouldn't have to go thru this online either. Ok so some say it comes down to personal control, but why have the temptation set to 24 hours? Granted some MG's flush it on request, though the majority don't and wont.

Me too. They definately seem to be improving service in other areas to be fair but they didn't want to do the "1 hour Reverse" trial that Ruby Fortune took up, which surprised & disappointed me. It's the little things that mean we see Trident Group and 32Red win all the accolades on a regular basis IMO. I would like to see independent casinos offering it to at least their VIP members.

Belle Rock actually went totally the other way last year and stopped flushing altogether! I appreciate they are a bigger group and their support struggles to keep up at the best of times, but that move just p*sses ppl off more. Why not offer 1 hour reverse, at least for regular players, instead of 12 as a default instead to relieve support stress.

They are obviously worried that people will stop reversing and won't plough it all back in. Very short-sighted if so, and seems to me to be a typical "salesman" mentality being deployed in the wrong environment. Must close the sale. Must make money now. Managing expectations correctly encourages loyalty and with loyalty comes the rewards.

One or two casinos have realised if you treat the players right, not only will they plough it back in, but they'll love you for it too Good PR all round!

I have (finally!) convinced another MG to try out 1 hour reverse withdrawal to see if its successful.

Ruby Fortune will give permanent 1 hour reverse withdrawal to anyone signing up and playing by the end of February through this tracked link: Outdated URL (Invalid).

Once you have played, you must email me (webmaster @ oggs.com) with your account number and I'll get the reverse period set to one hour for you.

This is one of the biggest reasons I've cut my playing time down dramatically at online casinos. You never have problems like that at land based casinos.

I'd like to play online more often because of the convenience factor, but all the other hassles make it hardly worth the while. The long reverse withdrawal time coupled with the time after to process the withdrawal are really annoying.

I am in total agreement with you Simmo! That darn button makes me nervous too. The weekends are the worst, heck, it's all bad. Sometimes I do make it to the end of the pending period and when the money is gone, it feels so good to know I made it There is no pending period when we deposit, therefore should be none when we want to withdraw.

But you and I know that it's about self control. Of which I have not been showing much of lately. I have signs hanging all over the walls, saying don't even think about it, but I do I think, we need a place in the forum like RW Annoymous where we can immediately, post that we just cashed in and get the wonderful support of those knowing what we are going through! For once I'm actually glad I took a reverse....I emailed the poker room in question and asked that my account be flushed, but didn't hear from them, so temptation set in and I reversed 300....and up $500 more since then lol..

i just realised how loaded that poll option was! i didn't mean they were conning the players, just that it's negative.

i agree if they 'investigate play patterns' and 'verify identity' there could be a holding time, but if they wanted to let you keep playing despite the pending 'reference checks' then they are putting themselves at risk of the abusive player winning more, so reversing the w/d imo is dishonest and profit-motivated.

but those who take up the r-w offer are putting themselves at risk so it goes both ways. having it in cyber-limbo is a good way to keep your hands off it, but you don't have to go and click account balance and reverse the w/d unless you really want to.

the nature of advertising, marketing, blah etc is to suck you in and compel you to buy/use/play/partake in whatever's being shilled.

also in simmo's vegas thread, it shows the casino withheld bryan's 5k payout until the next day, and he was even compelled to drop some coin in the machines next day when he went to collect (and won again!)

rw window or not, they are going to process the w/d whenever they want. admitted it's a cruel ploy having a chance to rescind your w/d and risk your own money again, but just don't do it! resist the temptation! and imo, if anyone offers an incentive to reverse w/d, that is not kosher. but don't blame them for trying. whatever feeds your family, it's the american way!

I don't "blame" them as such. In fact there is a positive with RW in that the casinos now starting to offer individuals the ability to have it reduced or withdrawn (MG have recently removed the necessity for Reverse Withdrawal to be mandatory, which it has been until now) on request have a chance for a competitive advantage - for those players that don't like it.

With MG it's always been tricky for casinos to find a way to get a competitive advantage except by manipulating bonuses and promos which is getting harder nowadays because of the more stringent terms attached. If MG are finally giving the casinos some leeway to decide/tweak/mix up the options on a player level a bit more, things could potentially get interesting in the future. The larger groups may find it hard to flex, but the smaller ones would be rubbing their hands together I suspect.

having an rw window is not a crime and shouldn't attract any blame. in essence it just says we have to have someone physically look at and approve your w/d, and until that time you can take it back and continue playing.

no harm in that, and as you say, good that players have an opportunity to deny themselves the chance of reversal if they feel they need that protection, but essentially the transaction will be held up pending some kind of approval by an employee. especially in mg's case where sign-ups may be withdrawn prior to the wr a la jc, gc, tri, nep, rb et al.

i wouldn't expect the player clicking w/d button to immediately assert that player is owed and the casino must comply. there remains a chance for the casino to question the w/d, and whether or not they offer you a chance to renege on your w/d is one of personal choice and although a cheap tactic, not unfairly so imo.

Totally agree and thats not the reason for the poll or indeed anything I'd suggest, not least because there needs to be time for fraud checks etc with new or unknown players and bonus players. The key for me is to remove temptation from the weak-willed gambler who are also the more likely to create financial problems for themselves. All it needs is for them to have an "option" to choose not to have a Pending period, that's all.

I used to reverse myself mainly through having too much time on my hands and life is so much better now as I regulate my money over the month and my gambling is better controlled. I still lose/win similar amounts, but now it's over the whole month rather than blowing my budget for casinos all in the first week - lol.

I just want MG's to offer to give the option to players if they ask for it based on a player's individual needs. It's the ethical thing to do, is easy to do on a player-by-player basis with MG software and is also likely to keep the player who asks more loyal. Just makes sense all round if you ask me. 32Red do it for me, they get probably 80% of my MG play as a result (combined with the fact they pay fast) and I'm a happy loyal punter. Tote get my Playtech business (no reverse period at all) as do Virgin for my Wagerworks play (same deal).

cool man! i wasn't trying to be obtuse or disagreeable or even refute your point. rw window is a little bit greasy, and yes props to those who would reduce/eliminate it. but i wouldn't cast shame on those who did impose one as it's not their ultimate aim to have you reverse it but just a nice score if you do reverse it and happen to lose.

Hmm that could make for an interesting debate. I'd say that the good casinos would act responsibly by not encouraging problem gambling. And I see RW as a tool that assists it, if stopping short of encouraging it.

As we can see, around 18% of players here like it, so there is some call for it. But the option to choose should be made available out of responsibility IMO.

Thanks to T_B for pointing out that the Grand Privé group of MG casinos have now reduced the Reverse Withdrawal time to a cool 6 hours from the previous 24. I have had this confirmed by Support reps

With the way Neteller is taking their own sweet time processing Instacash it really doesn't matter if my withdrawal is pending or processed. Once it hits my Neteller it sits for days. I seldom reverse a withdrawal but almost always play out my monies in Neteller. After all they are simply sitting there for days calling to me.

Do all casinos have the eCheck option? I am thinking of simply closing my Neteller altogether and going with that option. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

I am taking Casinomeister's advice and having Neteller shut down my Instacash option. It wil make it harder for me to play as well although I will still have Instadebit (which is much faster than Neteller) and my debit card which is accepted by most casinos.
