Comments Welcome Red Queen casino closing

Hi Everyone Just confirming that this is the case and as of the 01/11/2018 Red Queen Casino has decided to cease operations, after this time all game play on the site will cease but the site will remain online so that customers will be able to access and withdraw any remaining funds. This is due to a strategic decision taken by the Easigames board. The company hasn’t taken this decision lightly and several factors have led to this outcome. A shift of company emphasis and resources towards the wider group will be taking place in its absence.

Very sad news. Can't think of anything negative to say about Red Queen. For years its been a great place to play, fast withdrawals etc.

Where I first discovered Thunderkick slots. Remember losing £2k on that damn Birds on a Wire slots - that was even before it got nerfed!

Was this not recently accredited?.. sad to see them fold, but accreditation one minute and closed the next hardly fills me with confidence regarding so called accredited casinos.

A very strange, and unfair, comment. The rep stated that: "the site will remain online so that customers will be able to access and withdraw any remaining funds." So it is not as if the casino is doing a runner with players' funds, which seems to be what you are implying.

Really!?.. not the case at all. Hardly a place I’d ever trust...so what you can get your OWN winnings. Should be like that as standard, not a good thing.
Glad I never deposited at such a poor casino with terrible management.

Missed this thread and just deposited, then tried to play and got the message onsite that it was closing. Requested withdrawal, hopefully that will come through. @ChrisReid_RQC is there a way to stop taking deposits while still allowing withdrawals?

So because casino management decided to cease operations for a particular casino, just after they became accredited, for reasons explained by the rep, and in circumstances where there is no indication of rogue behaviour at all, you decide to throw all accredited casinos under the bus?

OK.

Hi David

I am sorry about that and don't worry i have approved your withdrawal this morning and it should be with you in 3-5 working days as normal. We have left the depositing facility on the site due to the fact that most of the customer funds that we currently hold are below our minimum withdrawal threshold and also the way that our merchant services work, which is on a one in one out basis. Having this facility available makes it as easy as possible for customers to withdraw their remaining funds in these circumstances.

However i have taken your comments on board and i will put a notice on the deposit page for anyone else that might be confused.

Cheers

Chris

Where did I state all accredited?. Also the only accredited casinos I trust and use have been so for at least 2 years, accreditation is indeed a sign of intent, doesn’t mean after that they will be the same..
there’s many examples of such in here.

In an ideal world casinos should think a bit about the longer term. Not today getting exposure or getting accredited and tomorrow close...

But there's usually a big lag between the owners and the employees of course.

Where did you state NOT all accredited?

To quote: "hardly fills me with confidence regarding so called accredited casinos." There was no distinction made in your initial post.

I agree. But this is not an ideal world, and there is many a slip between the cup and the lip.

Also, don't forget that accreditation is purely a CM construct, and while it is extremely valuable, its value is limited to those people who happen across the CM forum. Accreditation is not the definitive standard by which all casinos should be judged, much as I wish it were.

Tit for tat.
Hear what you state however, just surerly the longevity of a casino should be considered before said accreditation?.. I ain’t the boss here, just a member..
But to accredit a place then it goes tits up hardly fills me with smiles and deposits.

I agree that makes perfect sense.

From what I have gleaned about accreditation, longevity is a major consideration, although not always, if CM knows the background of any operator who is considering opening a brand new casino group. And even then, some of these new casinos go through a far more rigorous BoF than more established groups.

However, despite all the care that CM takes when vetting a casino, some long-term casinos have still gone very bad while accredited, e.g. Purple Lounge. And that must be a hell of a slap in the face for CM, bearing in mind all the hard yards he puts in trying to protect us from having this very thing happening.

That still shouldn't demean the merit and value of accredited casinos, even if they end up having a very short shelf-life, as in Red Queen. And IMHO, the casino didn't actually go "tits up" - the brand was just withdrawn from the market, which is subtly different.

Or perhaps that is just semantics on my part.

I know where Playford's coming from but in practical terms determining the sustainability of one of these places would be difficult. Example, some of them may be in a Group of Companies, shifting loses between them (as you can do), may have a profitable one in the Group whom management close for whatever reason etc. Mr Meister would need to do a financial appraisal ;). I'll get the bean counter.

Easier if they're Listed, public accounts are available, externally audited etc.

But these have been around a few years haven't they? And they are hardly going to say we are going to close in 3/6/12 months, so not sure how it could be done differently?

How are you supposed to know it's going to close in a few months though. You really are being rude about Bryan aren't you. If you have so little faith why are you here ?

I don't think any company would put itself through the rigors of the BBF if they knew that they were going tits up in the immediate future. I think it was a surprise for the staff at Red Queen as it was for us. And if I knew that they were closing, I would have never bothered with the work it takes to get them up and running here.

And just to add, this has not happened too often, if ever, so it's a bit puzzling why this would throw doubts about our vetting process into anyone's mind. Just a reminder, Casinomeister is the only site that lets the members have their say on which casino is listed in the Accredited Section and which has a process that is pretty transparent.

I am just coming in here backing up casinomeister and the BBF process.

Red Queen Casino had been around for the past 4 years we opened in July 2014, So had a long track record in the industry before this process. The ultimate owners of Red Queen Casino also own a very successful company in the casino industry which has been active since the early 2000’s.

We had been in discussions with Casinomeister to go through the BBF since LAC in February this year. We were going to wait till we had more and better game providers the likes of microgaming netent etc. on the site in order to provide an all round superior product while we were going through the BBF process. However at Amsterdam this year LadyJelana and I decided to just proceed with the selection of SGdigital content that we had access to, believing that our excellent customer services and promotions will easily make up for the difference for the shortfall in our content.

Red Queen Casino also got accredited by Ask Gamblers and held the Pogg deposit guarantee (which wasn’t at all easy to obtain). And if you check casino forums around the web there isn’t too much in terms of complaints against the site and we did have some customers who were very positive about us and the way that we ran our site.

The feedback on the Baptism By fire was mostly positive hence we got approved. Being on the receiving end I was checking making sure that every customer coming from Casinomeister was getting the best service dealing with most of you personally and checking the forum twice a day to make sure any feedback was given the swiftest response. Which is a testament to the BFF process compared all other sites that I have dealt with.

Also during the shutdown we have been as fair and quickly responsive as we can and trying not to leave any sour taste in any player or affiliate relationship that we hold.

This is just a case of very unfortunate timing that this has occurred at the time that it did.

Hi, I would appreciate a reply if possible. I won £3089 ish in Late october and verified my account. I requested the withdrawal in 2 payments. You paid the £89 but the £3000 has been pending for well over 6 weeks now. Ive tried emailing and ringing but there is no response to either. Are you still making payments or do I have to chase my payment via the UK regulator? Thanks

If you click on ChrisReid (the Red Queen rep) on the post 2 posts above this, you will be able to send him a PM. He will do his best to help you.
Try resolving things personably instead of jumping straight in with mention of the regulator. Or are you saying a PM has been ignored? These aren't the sort of guys who'd rip anybody off.

Yes, given that it's been wound down then perhaps that's not surprising, but nevertheless worrying if you have 3k. See if he can help you.:)

Edit - I think he may be away until 18th. Dec. Please bear that in mind.

I need to add to the comment by Chris from red Queen on his statement of
(Excellent customer service)
This may be the case WHEN your customer service department is ACTUALLY open
As my own experience and some other come 5pm on a Friday night your screwed if you have an issue as you will be waiting until 9am monday morning to get an form of help
This goes for any day after 5pm your customer service department works on a pristoric time plan which is just silly as worldwide players don't all go sleep at 5pm this rally put me.off so that's why I gave up to me and many customer service should be your main priority keeping the punter happy
Yours games where fine you had a growing collection but get your support structure sorted

Hi Everyone

Just to make it clear I no longer work for Red Queen Casino, and I have since started a new role since the close down of the site. However I still have access to most things will do my best to help with any outstanding issues with any spare time available that I have. The phone lines have been switched off however voice messages can be left and I do check the [email protected] emails sporadically.

@chellelyon20

Sorry yesterday was my first day back since being off for an extended period If you could send me an email to [email protected] which is the best email to catch me on with your username and account information I can investigate your query for you.

cheers

Chris
