I was playing Rainbow Riches on a casino, when I got the three pixies/dwarves whatever they are feature. Before the feature even opened, my balance updated and when I had done the wheel thing it was the same amount. How did it know what I was going to win before I did it?

Try playing bonanza on sky Vegas my balance jumped by £440 next spin I hit the bonus and yup it payed £440 random my bangle

Depends on the casino. Casino.com and Mansioncasino balance updates before the spin finishes, other ones such as betfair or betfred it doesn't. While the spin is pre determined, some of the casinos are just lax with the timing of the balance updates.

Why does that mean it's not random? It just means the round has already played out server-side and you're simply watching the results.

There are some questions around how different providers handle the logic of their games, but fundamentally there's nothing inherently 'non-random' about what you're describing there.

Aye. As an example, last night I got a bonus on Bonanza on Slotsmillion. Mid-way through the bonus, my laptop died (charger had fallen out). On rebooting, the site had updated my balance to the point in the bonus which had already been played out. On loading the game, it resumed from that point, and I won more. Every game will handle it differently though.

Thats through micro then, they play each spin out individually. On SG/Nyx it would continue where you were without a balance update.

Aye. Spotted the difference on your sites as well - please allow us to hide balances on the desktop sites so we don't get spoilers ;)

Just re-reading some of btg's answers to player questions:

QUESTION 6: interlog: Is the the outcome of the bonus already decided the minute it is triggered?

ANSWER: All online slot games have their outcomes determined by secure remote servers. Each free game outcome from BTG games are determined by a separate server response.

-----

so not sure if that answers the question or not, my understanding was each spin of the bonus is played out in real time, so if the bonus crashes during the playout and you reload it you wil get different results for the remaining unplayed spins than you would have [might be better or worse]

so really should the bonus total update before you see the spins play out?

this answer though gave me a wry laugh after my recent diabolical royal mint bonus:

QUESTION 17: nikantw: You could add many crappy bonus rounds to make bonus more frequent. I Don’t mind it, don’t see the problem or the “extra” addiction risk.

ANSWER: I think everyone here knows that there are literally thousands of slots out there with crappy bonuses. Here at Big Time Gaming, we will not be meeting any market demand for more of these. We specialise in high volatility slots that give unique and thrilling gaming experiences.

£400 lost on 40p stake for a £5.26 premium bonus in return tells me different, although it was such a 'unique' experience that I don't feel any urgent desire to repeat it

Cost me a Bomb and nearly 10k winning spins to get my first 750x on opal fruits, after that took me nearly 5 deposits and 1k spins to get a 40 x bonus, another 3 to 4 deposits and still can not bonus Opal.

I guess those RNG's just knew what was going to happen, as it's all so random.

Maybe wrong but rather than the feature being played out on the server prior to the player actually seeing it
on the reels,a bonus win amount is predetermined when the start button is pressed and the server works
out combinations of free spins which will result in that total being achieved.
I say that because some features are obviously cold or hot all the way through, donuts being a good example,
on other games you can get one decent win and the rest of the spins will be rubbish.

I think they (btg) have claimed that each spin is randomly produced as they are played out in the bonus.
Getting a result before all spins are finished wouldnt be possible if that was true tho.
But then again, i also remember someone got stuck on a Opal fruits bonus, and got a different result each time they tried to play it out.

Imo it does not really matter if the spins are randomly produced as they are being played or if all have been generated already.
As long as the balance does not update before the round is over, because that kind of ruins the fun. =)

BS!

Imagine getting up to a 20x+ multi on Bonanza, then it spinning in 64 x 6OAK diamonds or even rubies, never gonna happen or anything remotely close.

Random each spin my arse!
But it did happen that one time for that 14 000x win.
Sure, it was a btg-shill who was talking about it, and the video was recreated by btg themselves.
But thats no reason to doubt the authenticity of it...its not like they have a history of producing fake wins or something.

Don’t get me started on opal fruits it’s gone the same way as bonanza It’s played terrible for months since they updated it with the font change on the clock, This was always an ok paying bonus 7/10 times could get a great bonus on 20p and 30p now it’s same as bonanza around 5-6 dead spins so you can’t get the extra spins and also when it drops the + it’s pointless and pays peanuts, wish they would admit they’ve changed opal fruits and bonanza

I always forget they did this, makes them pretty untrustworthy in my oppinion to try and deceive I’ve always said it though there’s something not right with BTG yeah I hit big on chilli but these games are super compensated
