A7 chances

  • Chance of hitting a Natural 8 is 9.5%
  • Chance of a N8 being a combination of A / 7 is 12.5% (2/16 combinations)
  • Chance of hitting a natural 8 comprised of A7 is 1.1875% (will use below % instead)
  • Chance of A or 7 followed by the other card is 1.1863% (64/416 *32/415)

How long to hit 3 prizes

  • Number of Hands to hit on average: 84.3
  • Number of Hands to hit three on average: 253 (rounded)

Expected Value

The numbers will scale linearly but I'll write them all out nonetheless

$5 bet
  • 97.86% RTP on 253 bets of $5 = $1237.93
  • Average loss of $27.07 (1265-1237.93)
  • Prize of $30
  • EV: $2.93
$10 bet
  • 97.86% RTP on 253 bets of $10 = $2,475.86
  • Average loss of $54.14 (2530-2475.86)
  • Prize of $60
  • EV: $5.86
$50 bet
  • 97.86% RTP on 253 bets of $50 = $12,379.29
  • Average loss of $270.71 (12650-12379.29)
  • Prize of $300
  • EV: $29.29
$100 bet
  • 97.86% RTP on 253 bets of $100 = $24,758.58
  • Average loss of $541.42 (25300-24,758.58)
  • Prize of $600
  • EV: $58.58
$500 bet
  • 97.86% RTP on 253 bets of $500 = $124,931.4
  • Average loss of $2,707.1 (126500-124931.4)
  • Prize of $3,000
  • EV: $292.9

Summary

If you are in the mood for a big baccarat session then this offer will give you a slight edge against the house. For example if you got 3 prizes in exactly the expected number of hands, your improved RTP would be 100.23%.

Very well summarized mulven! As you easily discover, it's +EV on all the levels. Player/banker bets all count too so Baccarat players know what to do here ;) You hit it even on a losing hand, so it literally is as you put it. There's also an ongoing 20-day streak wager promo going on, and all your Baccarat wagers should count towards it,

Oh if it counts on both hands I'll need to redo the numbers! The EV is even better then.

A7 chances

  • Chance of A or 7 followed by the other card is roughly 1.1863%
  • Chance of neither hand hitting an A7 is 97.76414730769% (98.8137% squared)
  • Chance of either hand hitting an an A7 is 2.3585269231%

How long to hit 3 prizes

  • Number of Hands to hit on average: 42.4
  • Number of Hands to hit three on average: 127 (rounded)

Expected Value

The numbers will scale linearly and as I've written them out before I'll not do it again. Worth mentioning I accidentally used the wrong RTP instead of 98.94%

$5 bet
  • 98.94% RTP on 127 bets of $5 = $628.269
  • Average loss of $6.731 (635-628.269)
  • Prize of $30
  • EV: $23.27
$10 bet
  • EV: $46.54
$50 bet
  • EV: $232.69
$100 bet
  • EV: $465.38
$500 bet
  • EV: $2,326.9

Summary

In light of both hands counting as well as a slight bump in the RTP used in my maths, this promotion is a MASSIVE boon to your average return.

If you are in the mood for a big baccarat session then this offer will give you a slight edge against the house. For example if you got 3 prizes in exactly the expected number of hands, your improved RTP would be 103.6645669% (+4.7246%)

The changes from being an okay session enhancing offer to an EXTREMELY good offer. I'd assume Risk Management already ran the calculations but I hope this post doesn't change anything.

I really need to get better at numbers, wish we could "Merit" posts, great calculations mulven! To be perfectly honest, I wasn't thinking the numbers would be that much +EV but there you go :)
Embarrassingly, I have to disagree about great calculations🤣

Whilst the actual calculations themselves were mostly fine, I made a huge mistake with the RTP of baccarat. The first post I made was massively flawed, I must have been tired as I wrote 97.86% instead of 98.76% and used that. Additionally I should have been using 98.94%. The jump from the first was so massive due to the 1% rtp difference in calculations.

The first post EV should be $14.314 for $5 bet and $1431.4 for $500 bets. So would have still been very good without both hands being in play, I had just cocked up the RTP.

I'm always talking about BJ to fellow gamblers who play in the online tournaments (where wagering numbers matter). I myself play in some, not at BC but at other places not affiliated with. And I always forget that Baccarat is actually a great alternative, possibly even psychologically easier to play and keep discipline. BJ has this tendency for me anyway to invoke some double down demon when things are going bad haha.

Anyway curious to know if anyone took advantage of this promo. Today is last day :)

If they didn't they really missed out given the EV.

Yeah one of the things I like about baccarat is I don't need to make any decisions and if i've played by entire balance, I don't need to redeposit to split/double. I had often used BJ or Baccarat when having to wager to wager my deposit 3x at some sites after hitting an early parachute win and baccarat was always much faster due to the lack of player input.
