Prima being shady as usual

Hey all,

I was playing in a 5 man sit and go with a $10+1 buy-in which pays the top two spots. Three handed, the player in first was dominating the table while me and the other gent were tied in chips. The final hand of the game was a three way all in, in which the chip leader won and consequently eliminated me and the other player at the same time. In instances like this, the two players who finished in a "tie" for second place should receive a split of the 2nd place earnings. This was not the case. It stated that I had come 3rd, even though I went out at the same time as the other player. Even more interesting, I had the better hand then the other 2nd place finisher, so my 3rd place finish was not due to me having the worst hand. For those who play on prima, the hand number is 952117537 .

Since I always have problems with Prima, I am used to calling their lovely (sarcasm) customer service team. After being ripped by prima yet again, as is the case more often then not, I called them about this matter. After explaining the matter I was put on hold for 20 minutes, when all of a sudden the connection was lost. Lovely. I called them back up and they put me on hold for another 20 minutes just to tell me that I had to email microgaming about this problem (this always happens), who will get back to me in about 24 hours. What these people do not understand is that they are messing around with my money. How can you run a reputable business when you simply do not handle customers problems with THEIR money in a fashionable and easy manner? And how do cashouts with Pokertime take over a week sometimes?

I have 3 or 4 other bad experiences with Pokertime which I could list which shows just how terrible their customer service is.

If there is a prima person on here, can you look into this manner for me? Cause this is just terrible and Pokertime has easily hands down the worst customer service I have ever seen. Is it too much to want the money that I won on their site in my pokertime account without having to wait a day or two?

Sorry to have to tell you this, but Prima did what was considered the norm in poker. When two people are eliminated at the same time they dont share the money reserved for that spot. The money goes to the second place finisher which is...... the person who had the most chips during the double elimination.

Yes they do share the money reserved for that spot because I have had this happen to me numerous times in the past and I did split the prize money.

Edit: The below is a quote from the pokertime rules section and states how they deal with ties.

Ties
If two or more Players are eliminated in the same hand, the Players share the combined prize amounts equally. The number of chips each Player had at the start of the hand are not taken into account.

Example

Three Players are left in a Single Table Tournament that pays out $50 (1st) / $30 (2nd) / $20 (3rd). Two Players are eliminated in the same hand, therefore they share the combined prize amounts for 2nd and 3rd positions. So, each Player is paid $25 as $30 + $20 = $50 / 2 = $25. And the third Player is paid $50 for 1st position.

Important:
These rules apply to Single Table Tournaments only and are different from the Multi-Table Tournament rules.

Well, guess they just need to be sent that in customer support then, explaining this to them from their own info pages.

Make that 7 businness days..

I already contacted support and I now have to wait +/- 24 hours to hear if or when I get my earnings.

I contacted Poker Time, part of pirma to reactivate my account.

I send the request 3 days ago and also requested my account number since I uninstalled the software...

3 days later I receive an answer:

We need your account details and account number in order to do so...!!!

ARE THEY RETARDED OR WHAT?? activating an account shouldnt take 3 days, plus... DIDNT YOU MORONS READ I DONT HAVE MY ACCOUNT NUMBER?...

This guys really dont know crap about doing business.

The following is a quote from the 4th email that pokertime has sent me in regards to this matter.

Hi Sean

Thank you for contacting us.

I have reviewed the hand number 952117537 in paycheck and see that you did not have the winning hand. Please open play check in the poker software and click on Menu and then play check, Enter the hand number to bring up the hand.

I replied to them saying:

Jesus christ, do you guys not check the intake when reviewing a customers problem? This is obscene! I know I did not win the hand, that was not the problem! I was knocked out in a tie for second, and no second place prize money was rewarded to me. Quit insulting me by completely dodging what the real issue is.

Which they then replied to saying:

Hi Sean

Thank you for contacting us.

With regards to the payout for the tourney, Only the first two places are paid out. If as in your case the last three players go all in or raise. The places are worked out according to how much you contributed to the pot.

As on this last hand you contributed the least to the pot you were placed third and therefore did not receive any winnings.

This email goes completely against the rules that are listed in their poker software. I then replied to them with this:

Is it common practice to lie to your customers? The bellow is a direct quote from your rules section in regards to ties in multi-table tournaments.

Ties
If two or more Players are eliminated in the same hand, the Players share the combined prize amounts equally. The number of chips each Player had at the start of the hand are not taken into account.

Of course I will have to wait 12 hours for another reply, but I can't wait to see how they reply to this one!

Casinomeister, how about a possible blacklist for pokertime? Their customer service is run by incompetent workers and they do nothing other then insult their customers with uneducated and unrelated responses.

Ive seen some clueless replies from customer support but these are up there with the best of them. Do they not read the emails sent to them or are they really this stupid. After you sort this out I would move rooms obixx.
