Hiya hun how are you? My hubby and I just opened a land based Art Gallery and I was wondering if there is anywhere on the forum I'm allowed to post a link to the website for it? Thanks for any info. BTW your SEO thread helped me big time too. Thanks again

I'm sure it's ok if you put it on your profile page. At least I hope that's ok, because I did it!

Nice site! I have not visited it before.

You should also include your site in your profile under Webmastered websites ("about me"-section) so that it is easier to see it when visiting your profile :D

I thought the "webmastered websites" was more for gambling sites...?

Signature links are probably only for approved gambling/gaming/casino etc sites, but I am sure you can include a non-gambling site in your own personal profile under about me--->Webmastered websites. But Bryan can probably clarify :D (edit: and he just did in a post below. I was wrong :p)

The "Webmastered websites" section is primarily to keep track of which websites "webbys" or "Webmeisters" webmaster. (Say that 5 times really fast :p).

Listing "home page" links in one's profile is not a problem - and it's for everybody regardless of which group one belongs to.

"...which websites "webbys" or "Webmeisters" webmaster..." yikes, I can't even say it once without feeling like Elmer Fudd. You wascawy wabbit. :p

Thanks so much everyone. It's so hard to get a business going. Now once I master SEO marketing I'll be all set lol. You were all a big help. Thanks again

Hey Boo:

Another option would be to start a blog here, where you can talk about your business and show work. Just be careful not to use the exact same material later on your site, you might be penalized for your own content not being original.

//derail.... part of the reason for my lack of recent recipes at my blog//

Casinomeister ranks high in search engines, my recipes make much higher rankings than they would otherwise.

If you haven't joined Etsy yet, I suggest you check them out as well. It's a Canadian site for online arts and craft retailers.

Check out business listing sites for your city. Usually they are free to list at, with payments available for ad space.

My best friend is a gallery owner, get a nice guest book for the shop and ask people for their email addresses for show notices and opening nights. She hosts a couple of non-selling nights a year by email invite, with some hors d'oeuvres and wine. In Ontario you can't serve wine to guests with the cash register open. Really helps build a client base.

My father was an artist, and made a full time living in commercial art. It's a difficult field to compete in and I wish you and your husband success.

Thanks so much Jasmine. You have some incredible suggestions. I'm going to start a blog this week. And I'll definitely check out the websites you mentioned. We actually got 2 new members this weekend so I'll be adding them to the site this week. I wasn't aware I could get nailed for using our own images like that so I'll be very careful of that. BTW......love that you still have the same avatar. It's been one of my favorites for years now lmao.:D
