how they deal with complaints is the biggest issue for me

Then bonuses(why leave my old casino if the new casino doesnt value loyalty???)

then games selection/ease of use

As I am in the USA , I pretty much only play at coco licensed casinos .

As for the other option , I always chat with a new casinos live support or give them a call before depositing / starting our new relationship. So I would say initial impressions based on that first time service are how I make the decision whether or not I want to play there. If a casino has no live chat then they are an instant "no".

It used to be software first folowed by whether or not they offer bonuses as I want to extend playtime with my low deposit amounts. Then with deposit problems daced by my jurisdiction ie Hong Kong where credit card, neteller, skrill and even paypal out of the question I had to look for casinos which accept ecopayz. Some casinos became uneasy with the fact that laws on online gaming were unclear at my place and I got shut out from 32RED and a few MG groups. Depending on circumstances I was also denied access to Netent games. I was dealt a fatal blow when the FL group locked me out by claiming it was MG that denied me access to their casinos. I can now only play at RTG casinos and those with multi-gaming platforms. Everything said, if I really had a choice it would be software first.

My vote was:

Biggest % Bonus
Biggest €/£/$ Amount Bonus
Lowest WR Bonus

In retrospect I would have taken out "Biggest €/£/$ Amount Bonus" as it's the bonus % and WR that really count.
In it's place I would put: Loyalty scheme and/or ongoing bonuses.

It's hard to put a dollar value on things like service and safety. I'm sure it's possible though.
I suppose that's what keeps things interesting; we find it hard to equate those qualities. I'm sure if we did, we would all be playing at the same casino.

Thinking about it again, maybe it's not possible to equate those qualities as their usefulness can be different from person to person.
e.g. $1 to me might not be as valuable as $1 to someone else. I suppose the right way to do it would be to make a poll to determine an average of what people want.

Cash out times, Games, and Licensing which yeah can be mute point for many but still think its important for peace of mind.

But no option for good customer support which is a must for me. I dont care about bonuses these days. And I cash out much more now since
I stopped chasing the 100% match offers ... ;) which ironically I get lots offered now since I stopped taking them.

Where licensed is key for me because so much depends it. Accreditation is important, but not my main influence as the experience and knowledge of the forum members is much more of a yardstick re a casino's viability. Too many crap Casino's seem to get considered for accreditation while others who seem to deserve it get overlooked or are not selected for reasons I don't always get.

Cash out processing times for me are a huge indication of how highly a casino actually does regard their depositors.

Prior to knowing about Casinomeister I'd only been slotting a couple of months, and would be a right sucker for any type of 100% bonus or free spins, not to mention no-deposit bonuses :p

Having wised up and having whored my personal details to every clipjoint on the planet I now place withdrawal speeds at the top of the tree, and this is why I'll favour some of the well- known bookies for their no- nonsense approach. In fact It'd annoy me having to verify myself at various casinos when I could just play elsewhere minus the hassle....

But of course it's on CM I saw the which casinos were the real deal, so the likes of 32 Red, Betat etc became synonymous with excellence and having more than just outright cashout speeds. They had the full works, and lead the way in customer service, bonuses et al.

Yet I'll still place my money in a famous brand, even ones I see on TV. Yes I'm one of the three that chose that answer in the poll

So, in order of preference it would have to be:

Payout speed, preferably without jumping through hoops

Recommended on CM/ well-known brand

Type of software

Bonuses that don't chain you down and you get right away not like video slots bonus I never take a bonus there. But the game selection compensates for that.

Game selection not many options for big time gaming for Canadians

24 hour live chat when I use to play slots million slot when I had net ent games available there I hated not having chat after 6 pm my time since I had to talk with them to claim certain bonuses.

I'm happy to see that the 3 choices that made the most sense to me, so far seem to be the majority's choice as well!

In case it changes over the next few days, i'll post them and add my line of thought:

Choice of software:
For me the most important, if they don't have at least one or two of my preferred providers, i can save myself a lot of time checking to see if the Casino actually is worthwhile

Accredited or recommended by CM or other respectable portal:
Not perse a necessity, but definitely a heavy weighing factor, as when it is a Casino that is recommended here or on my other forums, i also feel a lot safer, and can skip some of the checks i would need to do when it wouldn't be..After all, i, like most fellow punters, do like to 'plug and play' as opposed to the 'read T&C's for an hour, spitting through all the sections in the site, and scour the internet for possible bad news RE; this particular Casino' :D

Loyalty scheme - ongoing bonuses:
One of the most important things to me is getting rewarded for my loyalty: i do like the occasional Match up, and i expect them aside from any welcome package. Even better when there are comp-points, a good (and reasonably achievable) VIP-program, or personal attention from support or management in the form of comps for loyalty, goodwill, or streaks of bad luck.

Of course point three is not always clear from the get go, but sometimes when looking for a 'new' Casino, you end up at an already established one, and you can read and learn about this from feedback from fellow punters on forums such as these.

My choice was software. I like casinos that have several game providers and not just one. The most important choice is whether it is CM accredited or recommended and tested by RESPECTED CM members, aka. Dunnover etc. The last one was bonus with the lowest WR since when playing with a small budget bonuses are good but not one with huge wr's and don't have many slots that are either excluded or reduced WR. I am looking at you Slots Magic! With restrictions on games their and weighting of any other provider but their own make that casino very unappealing where bonuses are concerned.:D

can I find an edfe?

My top three priorities when entering a casino are:

1. Can I find an edge?

2. Can I find an edge?

3. Can I find an edge?

If I can't find an edge I won't gamble a dime with them.

Has to provide CAD as currency.
It's fine and dandy to say it all washes out in the end but it doesn't really as you dep more than you Wd.

Games selection is important seeing as us Canuckleheads get screwed out of a lot of providers.

Beyond that it's knowin ill get paid if I win..so the basics...Fair terms, known and trusted casino, etc.

Where they are licensed

Reputable recommendation ergo Casinomeister

Loyalty scheme/incentives IE video slots rizk kaboo etc

I completely disregard if I don't recognise software long as I know at least 4-5 games I'm not bothered about operator. If the site is dodgy it doesn't matter what software because they are going to fleece you anyway!!

I allways have my account verified before i deposit.
If that process goes fast and smooth, i know enough because i do it via live chat. If there is allways a live chat available with whom i can check back to see if they immediately process my docs from the mail i sent, or the files i uploaded, i know 99.9% i need to know.

E wallet payouts to a verified account shouldn't take more than 30 minutes. So thats very important as well.

Great Idea!
(1) reliability
(2) support
(3) payout & deposit speed

Peace Out! Out Of The Mist! shewoff

Like Steviedoo and other fellow Canadians, CAD and deposit and withdrawal methods that work for me with the least fees is very important. 24/7 live support or at least emails answered within 1/2 hour or so as most of my play is out of prime hours.

Wow. This is pretty interesting. Funny how so many affiliate programs tout the fact that they have TV commercials (woo woo!). But this survey shows that players don't care. They care about the basics:

a) Trustworthiness
b) Proper games
c) How quick they will get paid.

And the bonus offers are at the bottom of the heap. There is much to learn here.

Sorry KK didn't see that pm til now!

My top 3 would be

3. Large game selection
2. Trustworthiness
1. Payout speed

That's really my main 3, not worried about much else

This is going to do wonders for the affiliates out there :)

I rarely sign up to any sites now days, if I do its by a trusted site like this one, I had a few sign ups at KK'S and Dun's. I always use the boss's list first as if it was not for this site than probs not of found the other sites, but very interesting what people look for.

I cannot get my head around that people actually go for the T.V adverts, maybe they are not from the U.K :D

BEST ADVICE EVER SEEN HERE!!!

How I wish I'd seen this tip a month ago...
Michielm1 you are an absolute gem!
New members/players :
Before you take up any "generous looking" freebie or casino welcome offer, always use this Michiel's strategy!
You'll certainly obtain a quick insight into what to expect...
Deposit, WIN, then find Customer Service idiots and smartarses at the other end?
What you do then?
Endure the long wait; No response from an inactive forum rep(?) and nobody addressing your problem?
Better option might be to simply walk away early (before depositing) and not return!
Fact is that SOME casinos can involve you in hours of torment and unbelievable frustration.
Many a GOOD LOOKING SITE will have you tearing out hair and screaming blue murder, by refusing to accept your documentation and proof of identity in the "normal" way.
My own experience?
(See my recent posts - might give you some idea of why I reckon Michielm1 deserves a MEDAL! )

USA player here .... or I was up until about 4 years ago when limited software choices, along with the complications and cost of deposit/withdrawal took all the fun out of playing.

1. Casino with a good reputation. (A rep here at Casinomeister is a must.)
2. Software I enjoy.
3. Simple, low cost/fee deposits and withdrawals ... both completed in a timely manner.

I also insist on very clearly written, easily accessed T&C. I rarely took bonuses when things became more complicated, but for USA there were limits on deposits and withdrawals (for instance) that had to be searched for page after page or (hopefully) clarified by contacting CS.
