i had a friend win two freerolls 80$ in total didn't try to withdraw then won a 1000 tourney for 300 asked to withdraw 200(WON FAIR AND SQUARE)then was told nope that is bonus money only you have to deposit 25 $ (fair enough)deposited that the played a few games then was told they have to play 5 raked hands for evry dollar wanted to withdrawl(that is a joke)if a site offers a freeroll they should only put what they are willing to lose but hey new site's there a dime a dozen but it is time for us online players to step up and not play these bunk rooms that just try and trap you.stay away from POKER HOST unless you want to play for fun.stay cool poker players ciao

Pokerhost issues have been all over the forums. I do not have any first hand experience with them. They are said to be owned by SBG Global, a low rated sportsbook. One complaint against Pokerhost was a player getting caught chip dumping who says they did not know there was anything wrong with that. They state they had $11,000 seized. Others have said they have not had any problems with this group. Not a good grand opening for this group in the public's eye.

The only thing they have done that bugs me is send snail mail to my house. This junk mail from places I have never done business with bugs me. I dont even want junk from people I do business with, much less people I have never heard of. I wonder how many spouses were alerted to husbands gambling online due to the massive amount of online casino junk mail.

You can say THAT again. Anyone who happened to look in MY mailbox, would KNOW what a sick gambling nut I am. Well, maybe they wouldn't know for sure, but I'd BET they would.

hey thanks PA for the additional insite i knew i was not the only one with problems there others that have not i would suggest it is only a matter of time.thanks again PA

This is a cross post but seems deserving of posting in this forum too. The complaints are piling up against this place. I posted this in a thread in the complaint section as well.

There appears to be more complaints against Poker Host as they changed a $100,000 added tourney to need a minimum 200 players after many players had signed up. There have been other complaints against them beyond this as well. I would advise everyone to stay away from this place. It has been a long time since a poker room had this many complaints, especially a start up.

I won some money at PH a while back. Had to jump through hoops to qualify to cashout. There was really no way to figure out what you needed to do to qualify, but eventually I did get my money.

Then a few months later I got an email saying that my account was under investigation for multiple players playing from my computer. This was not true of course. The other ID's they listed were from a person I referred to the site. Somehow this person was now linked to me as having played from my computer and IP address. Again, this wasn't true. .

I was kind of freaked out about that, so I called them to get it cleared up. I didn't have more than 50 bucks on the site at this time, so I wasn't worried about money. When I called, they said it was a mistakenly sent email and I wasn't under investigation. They said just don't sit at any tables with the person I referred to not have issues.

I thought that was kind of rude. I also lost faith in their integrity. I had an unnerving feeling they prepared that email as a pretense to not pay me in the future if I put in for a large cash out.

Why else would they prepare such emails? I had never even played with the person I referred to that date. It just made no sense, and made me suspicious of their future intentions.

I choose to cashout my last remainiing balance a little later on. Not worth the risk of winning a tournament or something, just to never get paid.

The secret is out. Poker Host suuuuuuuucks. I put in 100 dollars just to geel the site out. Decided that I didn't want to play there and tried to withdraw. I was told that I had to play 100 raked hands or I would have to pay the Neteller fees. Which I should have done and got out. Like an idiot, I didn't. So I played, when I could find a game. I did okay made a few bucks and tried to cash out. They say I didn't have enough hands. Which I kept track with a pen and a piece of paper. So I knew I had enough. So I went along with their game and played 10 more raked hands. Still say I didn't have enough. One night I was bored and didn't have any tourneys to play, so I played one night for 5 hours. I played 456 hands. Profit up to 100 bucks. So I tried to cash out my 200 bucks and they still say that I didn't have enough hands. Bulls**t. I email support and keep getting the same form email saying that I didn't meet the minimum hand requirement. Okay so I decide to cashout anyway and I will pay the fees. They say they can't do that either and gave some BS answer. Now they won't answer my emails. 'nuff said.

I've been a customer to Pokerhost for the past year, I have had no problems with them, I think that the best decision they have made was moving into a different network, I like the way the tables icon has been set up, by the way have a new cashier method which I like a lot. ;)

hey!!

 Ive never have any issues before with them, actually right now they migrated to a new network, and they are looking pretty good. I can tell you about that 100k, it was a no strings attached freeroll, they gave up the money without any requiremnts. i couldnt play that tournament, but id love to, another good thing about Pokerhost is their customer support, those guys are really good, for is the best customr service ive been on, and the site as well, for me its good, I have been playing there for less than a year, but for me they work really good, you should take a look on them now

So two first time posters from Costa Rica bump an 8 month old thread to tell us how much they love Poker Host. I'm sure it is just total coincidence that the amount of Poker Host spam has skyrocketed in the last few days on the net.

On the basis that a spammer would probably have left this post to die and started a new one, the benefit of doubt is granted :D
