Paranoia???? hey but with identity theft on rise?

Apologies as always if this topic has been covered recently...

Belle Rock have a new format in their casinos... I like it.... BUT... some of my identity details show.... my first name... my email address... and my part of the world (tho not specific, close enough).
There is also a facility to change your email... rather than contacting support (and hence identifying who you are)

My question is... should this info be showing in the casino? Identity thieves have it easy as it is! Isn't this just making it easier for them?

I contacted support re another issue and asked about it whilst there. They assure me they take all security precautions and am sure they do. No probs there!

But yeh... if someone nicks my pc... hacks into my wifi... passwords are easily broken apparently. Having my first name, my email address and my location surely must make it easier?

Well only you can see those details when you are logged in to the casino - so I can't see what your issue is to be honest.

If my laptop got stolen, the LAST of my worries would be the information other people could see if they logged into one of my casino accounts!

Doing virtually anything online where any of your personal details is involved is based entirely on trust. Each person has to decide to risk it, or just not do anything online.
The biggest danger IMHO is from spam and scam e-mails and websites. Some of these are extremely sophisticated and web users need to be VERY careful about who exactly they are giving any details to. Always look carefully to see what URL any links lead to - and if they don't look right, don't risk it.

I agree with KK, it all boils down to TRUST. It doesn't matter if it's Belle Rock group, CWC, Fortune Lounge, or whomever. It could come from a site totally unrelated to online gaming. If you are so unsure, unistall the casino/s and stop playing, jmo.

Some day some poor sucker is going to steal my identity.

Then he's going to wake up with a sore back and his fingers'll feel like a pack of sausages. He'll need at least 3 coffees before both eyes are fully open and before he knows it he'll be sprawled out across the couch with a bag of potato chips on his chest.
