I was playing the new RTG Panda Magic slot game at Springbok Casino and experienced what I feel is game payout error. I was betting R12,50 per spin and landed 5 Red Panda icons. According to the payout terms it should have paid out at 300 x R12,50 which is R3,750. Instead the game only paid out a measly R300.

The above screenshot was taken as the Red Panda icons were flashing off. :(

According to the above payout schedule 5 Red Panda's payout at 300 x bet.

I contacted the casino support and this is their reply which I find ludicrous.

Casino Support: We have thoroughly looked into your query regarding the payout for Panda Magic Game number #497199670. You did indeed get a 5 Red Panda scatter for which you received R300. However the amount won does not get multiplied by the wager made. The amount you wager only depends on how quickly you convert your play-through so that you are eligible to cash-out. The play-through goes down quicker the more you bet.

I did not claim any bonuses but either way the play-through explanation is mind boggling. So instead of betting R12,50 per spin I could have been betting R1,00 per spin and I would have won the same amount. WTF!

Who is crazy, me for not believing this explanation or the casino support for offering this bullshit explanation?

I don't know why it paid R300 because that doesn't seem right, but you're mistaken here. The red panda is not a scatter, it's a symbol. It's an all ways game and the winnings shown in the paytable are coin wins. So 300 coins would be 5 symbols. That's on minimum bet however, and it doesn't seem like you're playing on minimum bet, AND you have a wild on the first reel which means you have 4x 5 of a kinds .. So R300 is wrong nonetheless.

The reply from the casino manager is just your usual shenanigans where the manager's skills of comprehend and understanding of written text is clearly at the level of a ten year old. It always tends to be the RTG casinos where the level of English they speak is far below acceptable.

Thanks for the info, you've shed some light on the situation. The game doesn't give you the option to set coin size so I investigated further. It may be that the coin size is set at 1/50th of the total.

From Game Rules The number of winning combinations is calculated and multiplied by the paytable prize.
The result of the operation above is multiplied by the All Ways Pays bet which is 1/50 of the total bet, except for scatters.

If that is so then the pay out will be correct. R12,50 x 1/50th = R0,25 x 300 = R75 x 4 = R300.

Very poor payout in my opinion. :(

Yes, I would say total bet is 50x line bet thus you're playing with a 0,25 coin size, 300x coin and times 4 would indeed mean the payout is, unfortunately ( :D ), correct.

I was playing that the other day and hit 5 red pandas and thought yay this should give me some money to play with...6 dollars lol....I don't remember how much betting though but know I probably won't play too much...I did hit a 110 x my bet during free spins but retriggered 3 times and got the mega wilds feature so thought it would be a lot bigger

The only "magic" that I've found this stereotypical looking panda to perform is how he magically makes your bankroll disappear, even
when wagering low bets. And for his final act, when you finally receive a bonus round with 20 free spins, you'd be extremely lucky to
get 5X your bet size.

The panda disappears when you exit the game out of frustration looking for another slot to play after feeling like you've been "bamboozled". :)
