Paddy Power/Dennis Rodman?

I just heard on the news that Paddy Power is/was sponsoring this whole fiasco with Dennis Rodman going to North Korea to teach them how to get better at basketball so they can take on a team that the Worm is putting together from NBA players.

I'm wondering if Paddy Power is going to sponsor a seal team to get them back out when Kim Jong Un decides that he wants to keep them for a while.

This kinda takes me back to when Golden Palace was sending streakers out during sporting events and paying people to tattoo their website across their faces.

It seems Paddy Power have come under quite a bit of pressure and decided to bail on Rodman.

Their decision might have something to do with Kim Jong Un executing people including his closest relatives all willy nilly.

Definitely was a bad business decision by Paddy Power to agree to sponsor Rodman in the first place which ever way you look at it.

Rodman may be losing newsworthiness on this publicity exercise as well - the last news report I read on it reported that he came home after just four days and did not get access to the little dictator in North Korea at all, despite trying to put a good face on it.

Last time around Paddy got a ton of publicity....this time not so much as it turned out to be a non-story imo.

Paddy Power were candid about the withdrawal of their sponsorship, saying "...we got it wrong this time."
