A very poinient statement and one we should always bear in mind. Noticed Bill Baily's name get mentioned, that is exactly what I was thinking, it is just the sort of thing he would come out with. Now I need to think of some opportunistic things to do this Friday

By the way, I prefer to think of myself as a realist. When someone asks me if the glass is half empty or half full I say "That depends. Am I emptying it or filling it?"

For me it depends on if the glass has something good in it or not - if it's something I want then I see it as half empty - if it's something I don't want, I see it as half full. So uhmmm pessimist I guess.

I used to be a member of something called the Optimist Club. We held events and the proceeds went to local children's groups and local charities. I don't recall actually joining this. I just remember someone telling me one day I was a member.

I started a pessimist club but didn't tell anyone. I figured they wouldn't want to join anyway.
