Online Casinos Are Not For Me

So, I finally tried online gaming (Blackjack and some Roulette is my game). So, I tried Intercasino and made a profit (£1400) and also tried the Grosvenor online and (lost £400). However, I have come to the conclusion it is not for me. Firstly it is mind-numbingly boring. Not having the banter with the dealer and other players is something I missed. Secondly, as you are not playing with actual chips I ended up playing for higher stakes than I normally would which is a slippery slope. Never done this once in 10 years of visiting casino's. Lastly, the run of cards is crazy. For the dealer to hit 21 in 3 out of 4 hands is rare but for it to happen twice is a 30 minute session is just crazy. Now I am not saying the games are rigged but as they are basically a computer program and are just not realistic. A interesting experience but I will stick to my monthly visits to actual casinos.

One man's meat etc and thanks for sharing your points, most of which I actually agree with lol:p

When I'm having a gamble however I do prefer online play, reasons as follows :)

* I don't have to drive anywhere
* I can have a fag without going outside
* I don't have to worry whether there will be any urine on the toilet seat
* I can Screen Shot or Video my 'better' days
etc etc

To be fair tho I do enjoy the 'bustle' and 'banter' of B&M casinos (Worked in one for 5 years) but defo prefer the comfort of playing at home.
I can also shout and swear at my screen as much as I want to with out fear of reprimand or getting barred :p

Being able to plat on your phone is also a + for online casinos, well to me. I could be at work barely getting $30/hr, go on my smoko break for 30 min and make an entire days pay while having a few fags sitting on a milk crate.

Tablegames are indeed boring at online casinos.
You also see much more hands, which can be nice, but I noticed after a while playing, I am clicking as of my life depends on it, so fast, mostly to chase losses which is a very negative feeling and takes all the fun away.

In the landbased casinos I love the interaction with the dealer and other players and have a lot more patience.
On the other side, I play a lot of online poker and I prefer playing online rather then at a casino. But this must be because I can not use my HUD from Holdem Manager at the casinos. :(

Try casinos where they offer live dealers. Its fun and the game goes at slower pace.
I played with live-dealers sometimes and it was nice with a lot of interaction with the dealer and other players. :)

Your experience having this crazy bad runs online is because you play many more hands per hour assuming the software provider has a fair RNG.

Ok this is my only experience at table games. Last October I took a 100e bonus at Betat and didn't realise it was for table games mainly blackjack and roulette. Anyhow I played and had no clue what I was doing. 3 hours later bonus was cleared and my balance was 2800 or something. Got the cash next day. Gotta say I had fun but won't be doing it again as I still have no clue about table games and was very lucky to build my balance to that level. Wouldn't want to chance it at a BM casino as other punters would probably become annoyed at my lack of knowlege:D

Suppose Each person has there views on online/land based casinos.

Prob the majority of people on here prefer online. I do think table games online are boring though. The slots online are always exciting for me!

I stay well clear of tAble games online.

Lol that is good going to turn it into 2800. Another point with online casinos is that they are far too accessible. I found myself playing like twice a day. As every gambler knows the more you play the more you will lose. At present I go to my local B&M casino once a month and spend 3-4 hours having a blast. Win or Lose (mostly losing) I walk away smiling and looking forward to my next visit. If I went to the B&M casino every day I would be bankrupt by now. So in a way the fact that I have to make a effort to get to the casino probably saves me money. Also when I go to the B&M I take my playing money and no cards. So, even if I lose and am tempted to chase I am unable to. With a online casino once you lose (even if you set deposit limits) you can just join another online casino and start chasing. I suppose everyone has there own preferences and that's the beauty of it

Fair enough, but you only really checked out 2 Casino's which are in good standing, but are definitely not the current top of the list.
If you are more the Table games guy, then i would think the Casino's with a live-section are the thing you may like/could try.
This is as close as it gets to a real B&M.

There are also a few Casino's which have incorporated the "social" part of the Casino, and there i would reccomend 3Dice, loads of fun if your into banter, can be found in their chatroom, which is easy to use whilst you play your table games in the meantime.

There are more alternatives, but of course only if you would be interested: i am just saying, don't judge too soon, you may find Online Gambling has more advantages in the end:)

Blackjack can be fun if you know how to play the optimal strategy. This way you cut down the house-edge to a minimum and have some very good runs if lucky :)

With a very basic strategy the house edge is tiny. With the basic strategy the house edge is 0.44686% and with a more advanced optimal stratey the house edge is just 0.43096%
If the casino has a good rewards system and bonuses maybe you can break even!! ;)
This tiny edge doesn´t mean you will experience ridiculous swings in your sessions.
I recommend you read about table games at Wizard of Odds if you like table games and want to learn them. At youtube there is also good information available if you search for Americas Casino Guide.

Here is one link where Blackjack is discussed:

All casinogames are explained if you search a bit more. Also slots and how they work exactly. I think their information is quite accurate and very informative. It is clearly made

All table games are explained and shows you the exact house odds and how to play optimal and makes it more fun to play. You never have to think about a decision once you have learnt the strategy :)

As Journeyman stated earlier, online live table games can be quite good. I've worked as a Croupier in an actual casino and I can appreciate that playing in one is an experience that can never be fully recreated online, dirty chips notwithstanding.

I have been quite impressed with how far online live table games have come in the last few years and it certainly is becoming a viable alternative to visiting a B&M establishment, even if half the dealers look like outright hookers, talk way too much and deal terribly! Not to mention the retard tactics employed by fellow players on your table such as sticking on 14s in BJ for example.

But as for playing the simulated versions of popular table games online, I can definitely live without them as they seem as bent as a nine bob note- on a good day, and are about as stimulating as clipping your toenails I'm afraid:(

Sticking on 14 is a valid play if the dealer is showing 2 to 6 on his up card. That's basic strategy. Of course you do get the odd player that sticks on 14 when the dealer is showing 7-10.

Advanced strategy would also have you stick on 14 if you've drawn 4 cards as the probability of hitting a high card on your 5th is very high. So it really depends on the circumstances of the hand. Also what a lot of people forget or perhaps don't realise is that other players actions have no bearing on how you play your hand if you're following standard strategy.

I give a big thumbs up for online Live Casino, there's loads of really good ones about and if you like roulette Evolution have recently released Immersive Lite on their general play table, which adds another dimension to the playing experience. Grosvenor, Redbet, Comeon, William Hill & Bet Victor all use Evolution Software.

The run of bad cards you see is usually just because you play more hands and they stick out more, like when you play poker you always remember the bad beats.

The social aspect of casinos are something that they will never be able to recreate though, no matter how hard they try with these live casinos and eastern european dealers

Welcome to reality hahaha, gambling online sucks and I consider it a waste of both money and time. Read my lips: You CAN'T beat the system
