Noticed one of the streamers playing at Golden Tiger casino on some of the slots which i thought had gone forever.Think the likes of Secret Admirer,Harveys,Munchkins,Jack and Jill and Old King Cole amongst others. They are UK licensed and appear to be running max rtp on all their slots. However bonus hunters should avoid, their welcome bonus has a wagering requirement of 200 times:eek:

I guess he was playing on the software? MG has a lot of slots that only work on the software but there aren't many casinos that do have a software available. MG is the only provider seemingly that doesn't discontinue old slots, while there's literally no way to play old school slots from Playngo and Netent.

Also worth noting that the software barely works as it is, at least Win10 doesn't like it.

i love the old games isis, supe it up and most of microgaming games tried the new fangled ones not interested in them, only play at sites that have mocrogaming. still have the downloaded casino on golden tiger and still got stats so i can check how many spins, plus when playing and want to deposit it does not take me out of game that i am playing others do.

Old school games are another way to counter the lowering of RTP.

They will disappear from casinos if not played. They all make money for the casino so switching your play to them reduces the exposure of the rubbish new ones and keeps the old ones alive.

You only need to go back about 2 years also.

I envisage that all of the aforementioned as well as many others will be available via the download client on all Casino Rewards brands.

Would love a good old fashioned session there but bonus banned along with a very limited and restricted budget stops me doing this.

Not as up to date as i used to be, but if i recall correctly, wasn't the plan to ditch all MG downloadclients across the board? Like a year or so ago?
Or is it still 'in progress' and/or now exclusive to the CR Group?

Same mate, not up to date either

As best my knowledge serves, 32 Red were the most recent to ditch the viper client, now have my doubts but did think that CR group maybe still offered the download software?

Maybe @Renee_RA could confirm for us either way?

Jono, CR still has the Viper Client.

Worth pointing out though that Captain Cooks has recently switched to a browser only casino.
Meaning that only it and Phoenician Casino have no download casino anymore.

Not sure if the other CR casinos will follow suit soon (if at all).
I am hoping they don't, because that would mean not being able to play Girls With Guns 2, Avalon 2 and IR (HTML5 version of IR is dreadful) anymore.

Thankfully though, even if CR does eventually decide to ditch Viper altogether, I will still be able to play Jurassic Park.
They remastered it to make it compatible with HTML5 and I think it's very good.

If there's one thing that pisses me off more than the nannying antics of the UKGC, it was the ending of Flash.
It took the likes of Finer Reels, Playboy, GOT and BSG away from me.

I would love to be able all the games that have been mentioned on this thread again. However I am very wary these days about signing up to ANY new casino with all the Source of Wealth crap that is flying about. No problem with the normal verification stuff like driving licence, debit card and proof of address but has anyone had experiences, good or bad with the Casino Rewards brands in relation to SOW demands.

I've been with CR for almost 8 years (October 2013 was when I made my first real money deposit there) and I've not had any SOW requests.

There have been a couple of random verification checks over those 8 years, but it's always been the normal verification stuff that you alluded to....proof of ID, address, depositing method etc.

I must admit that the 200x WR on bonuses is a drawback. But you are not under any obligation to take them.
I can't remember how the welcome bonuses are activated though ie is the player automatically opted in?
Mainly because I took them that long ago. So that might be something to look out for.

But I personally would definitely recommend CR, ESPECIALLY if the old Viper games are your cup of tea.
And Renee is a good, solid rep. Live chat has generally been very good as well.

Spoke with Renee via PM only yesterday.

It seems the case that their plan (CR) is to hold on to the viper client for as long as is realistically possible.

It is to be phased out slowly and sadly starting with UK players, however I was informed as I say that they will do their very best to keep it running for as long as they can :D

I appreciate the reply Jono mate. Good to know that I will still have some Viper playing time for the forseeable future

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.Think i will give them a try despite the horrific wagering on the welcome.bonus. Getting thoroughly fed up of almost every other slot these days being megaways (or so it seems) so a bit of nostalgia will make a refreshing change.

No worries mate.

One thing worth remembering re: bonuses. Yes the wagering is steep to say the least.

BUT....

the way CR's bonuses work is that you can forfeit your bonus balance and cashout your cash balance, before completing WR.

For example, you deposit £100 and take a 35% match bonus, giving you a starting balance of £135 and a £7,000 WR.
Let's say after doing £1,000 of wagering, you have increased your balance to £405.
You CAN choose to forfeit the 35% bonus money (which would now be at £105) and cashout the remainder, which would be £300.

Obviously, the higher your percentage match when taking a bonus, the bigger the dilemma you face, should you land a nice win in
the early stages of the WR playthrough.

There is also the possibility of the dreaded bonus ban if you do too well from taking bonuses.

But if you are able to look past that and stick to playing without a bonus, then that's great.
I used to love taking bonuses at CR, but once the WR was increased to 200x, I wasn't so keen.
I still take the occasional bonus, but nowhere near as frequently as I did when it was only 30 x B.

I know one thing.....Viper was what I started out on in my online gambling "career" and even though I have tried (and enjoyed) other games/providers, the pulling power of MG on Viper still remains for me today. And not just for sentimental reasons. I just always felt that they knew "how to do variance right" and that you could get a better game for your money.

I will be sad to see Viper go, whenever that day will be.
