Novomatic pulling out of Ireland all together

gone for me too

no longer available in Australia either i think its due to one of the land casino owners igt\wms buying a share in novomatic.
if they cant beat there market share buy them such a shame less slots available to play now

Novomatic bought out Ainsworth gaming about a month ago.
In Australia any company that has land based machines is bound by Government/ Australian Hotels Association from operating any of their machines online to Australians hence why no Novo, WMS and Aristocrat (and probably others).

Your kidding! How protectionist is that, like something out of Victorian times. "Dont take kindly to strangers taking our business" LOL

Australia I can understand, as the draconian protectionism that exists there prevents any major games supplier accepting bets online.

But Ireland I don't get. Anyone know why this has occurred?

I'm sure the answer is in here somewhere - 10,000 euros per 2 years for the license(s) for a start. If you need software licensed (like the UK) that's a lot of beans over many countries.

on a side note portugal is off too since yesterday :( its sad as they are my favourite games atm, but honestly i understand it, them and wms must be the top dogs at our land based casinos so i guess they dont want any beefs with the law concerning their contracts.

It may well be, but €10k for 2 years seems like small fry to me for a licence. Novomatic could probably make that in a few hours if they were accepting bets in Ireland. There may also be some political changes, the sort that are affecting Portugal, that are coming into effect.

The "fun" part is, I have sent an e-mail to Energy Casino to ask why we were not even notified (same as when Quasargaming decided to kick us Irish punters)...
According to them it is all a mistake and we should not have been blocked for Novomatic games.
They say it will be fixed and it is just a technical error.
Let's see.

So I keep you guys posted.

I still think we are blocked but CS at Energy Casino might not even be aware of this.

You're right, and their CS are taking shite (nice rhyme there!!!)

Got this:

Dear Partner

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, Greentube games will no longer be available to players from the following countries: Albania, Australia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, Serbia and Slovakia.

There’s no need to panic though because, at EnergyCasino, players from these countries will still be able to choose from one of the world’s best ranges of quality slots from NetEnt, Microgaming, Wazdan and BeeFee. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Kind Regards,
EnergyCasino Partners

It seems Novomatic soon will have no countries left where their games are allowed to be played.
What a bunch of wankers.

We,the customers seem to be more up to date than some of the employees that work for an online casino..
Or they do know already but are not allowed to say it yet to a customer and are trying to gain some time by saying it is under investigation with their tech. department.
Anyway a bloody shame Greentube stopped offering games in Ireland and God only knows why because there are no Novomatic licensed slots in the landbased casino's here.

Had a few awesome hits on Novo slots in the last couple of weeks and I am really pissed off that they pulled out of Ireland. :(:(

Seen this on google and is possibly the reason why Novo not available in Ireland.
The same week Novomatic bought Ainsworth in July was when we could no longer access Novo games in Australia.

"Ainsworth (UK) Ltd is continually winning over the hearts of Irish players. Carnaby Gaming – with Derek Lynch at its head –has spearheaded the success of Ainsworth up and down the country.

Operators throughout Ireland are offering the diverse and entertaining Ainsworth gaming machines to their customers."

Yer I believe it was mentioned before...

But still I do not understand...
Why not trying to keep players happy both in land based and online casino's...
If I would run my own slots I would like to generate revenue from both online and landbased casino visitors...
Or do I miss something here...

And by the way the slots here in Ireland in land based amusement venues and casino's are not my cup of tea.
I have seen and played the games on those Ainsworth cabinets.
Multigame cabinets but the available games just suck.
I rather play the Novomatic or WMS games in multiplayer cabinet like in The Netherlands.

This way the choice of good slots are deminishing for Irish players.. :(

Ok just logged into my Casumo account and I still can play them there!!:eek:
So that means Quasargaming and Energy Casino pulled Novoslots for the Irish on their own behalf?

Great to know...

At least I am off for some Novo action at Casumo! :D:thumbsup:
