Progressive Challenge - November Slots Comp Now Open

Hi guys

Ok...I have all the info for the November comp up at Link Removed ( Old/Invalid) . There are amended rules so each player will have to enter by email again so check the site.

The slots this month are Tunzamunni, Wow!Pot (also available in the 32Red Flash version) and King Cashalot. Two of these three are past their average payout and the other (Wow!Pot) is approaching it.

Please note I have adapted the rules based on feedback from the October comp. I have altered the Spins calculation (once you hit the minimum for the chosen slot, every spin counts). Also, because these slots vary in denomination, i have added new calculations for the 30% split, trying to keep it fair on low-rollers but rewarding the higher rollers fairly on the bigger slots. Finally the "consolation" prizemoney has been increased from $500 to $600 but is now weighted according to the slot denomination.

Changed to the rules are underlined and Rule (3) is a new one to replace the old one. Please read.

So ... its open. feel free to hack in. October winners will be announced shortly (when i get my PC back!)

Cheers

Simmo!

Anyone got any stats?

Anyone got any stats?

I could tell you the average % return over 1,000s of spins on many of MGs bonus slots, but I very rarely play progressives.
So I was wondering if anyone else has any stats that show what the expected % return per 1000 spins (or whatever) is on this months progressives (ignoring hitting the jackpot, of course!).

Thanks!

PS: Nice KC hit Slotty!

This could interest you.
check the excel file.

It's on!

Well done Simmo! I like the new rules, and good selection of games as well.

As for the payout % - it's obvious that if you exclude the Jackpot from the payout %, the progressive slots are worse than the others, and will eat up your bankroll faster. But our United Bankrolls can take a lot more abuse than any one of us individually.

Hey, if this challenge goes on for a year or so and we keep at it, maybe sooner or later...you know...who knows, maybe this month eh?

Cheers

if microgaming's other progressive games are anything to go by, the % will be exceedingly low, unless the jackpot is very high. If the jackpot is *very* high, the payout could go over 100%, but a large percentage of that will be the jackpot, so unless you win to the jackpot you are very likely to lose money.
Other mg progs: triple sevens blackjack - ~70% return currently
Poker Ride: ~71% return currently
Roulette Royale: ~73% return currently

Hey guys

All screenshots posted in this thread will count obviously, but from now on, can you post them in the relevant Sticky Threads i started for each game in this forum?

Many thanks

KK?? why arent you in this month?

Maybe this is why??

To withdraw any winnings, players must place bets to the value of $900 at the casino. Bets at the Sic Bo, Craps, Roulette tables and bets on Progressive Jackpots do not count towards the wagering requirement.

they changed T&C's for match now :(

what does that have to do with the progressive challenge?
Definitely blond...!

I'm still waiting to hear why you're not in the challenge.
With your name, I would have thought you'd be the first to sign up! ;)

To everyone,
I asked for some stats, but got no useful info :(
I don't have stats as such myself, but this has been my experience so far this month (might be useful for those undecided about joining in):-
Tunnza: After 800 spins I was even, having hit 'Any 7's' three times. This seems to be the 'safest' slot this month. But remember last month it ate $70+ doing just the 2,000 spins. :(
Wow!Pot (5-reel): This is a lot more fun - but a real money eater! Despite hitting what I thought were quite nice wins ($18 & 20) I still lost $20 in each of the 50 spins I tried.
King Cash: I was VERY nervous about playing this at $2.25 a spin, but decided to risk a few goes. I was VERY lucky & hit three 5oak wins (25, 50 & 50), and two feature rounds (40 & 18) in about 100 spins and stopped about $100 up:thumbsup: But when it's not hitting I know it can be disastrous, so I doubt I will play in this much more...

Kasino King's slots

Hey KasinoKing, and others

This is somewhat off topic...just general musings on online gambling.

Assuming it's true that you win on most months - and I do believe you, I guess that could be achieved with careful planning and bonus hunting, how do you manage that, I mean, you'd have to have loads of time and endless patience? And the Casinos - they don't give you any kinda hard time? I've read reports on them making life difficult for those who frequently play with bonuses and end up with a positive result and withdraw. I get VIP treatment because I mostly bet big(ish) and lose big  -and I play slots almost exclusively (everything else too boring)

Which are your favorite slots? Are there some you suspect will keep one going longer and have a better payout % than some others? It's hard to tell, Microgaming won't release their individual slot payout % (I think Lasseter's is the only one, and I love them for that, they've got some real good ones at about 98%)

What are your favorite casinos, your trusted ones? My favorites are 32red where I play about 80% of my online gambling, and Lasseters - these because I feel that I get good CS, a fair game and if I do win, I can rest easy, the winnings will be paid. I used to do other Casinos as well, and I'm thinking of trying out some new ones if I get a good recommendation. Meister approved of course. (Plus maybe Casino Extreme, been reading good reviews on that one)

Keep up the good work KK, I'm glad we have a winner type in the progressive challenge team. I'll be joining in the race later in the month

Cheers,
SM

Hi SM,
Sorry to take so long to reply - been very busy recently (work :( & home). Have only 5-minutes now, but will see which of your questions I can answer...
I do win (i.e. make profit) 9 out of every 10 months. October was my first losing month since November last year.
I do do it by 'bonus hunting' if you want to call it that. But I'm not the 'flat bet BJ to WR & withdraw' type.. I prefer a gamble with slots & other high risk games, just using the bonus to get off to a head start, if you like.
Time is a bit of a problem, but I do manage a staggering amount each month. I usually play a little bit each day, and because my missus works shifts I can get in 2 or 3 four-five hour sessions per week (evenings or weekends), so I reckon my daily average is about 2hrs of play.
Patience, self control and will power are all important. If I've done all my bonuses by say the 3rd week of the month I'll switch to wasting my time & money playing low-stake poker tournaments, rather than blowing my hard earned profits in a casino! ;)
I've had very few problems claiming repeat monthly bonuses, although I have been banned from 2 casino's promos for winning too much, and 2 others for silly mistakes.
I get VUP treatment (Very Unimportant Player) because I am a low-roller. Never mind!
Favourite slots: Spring Break, What on Earth, Tomb Raider, Bejeweled, Hampsteads.
Favourite casinos: (Obviously the one's with nice monthly bonuses & sensible WR!) William Hill, Intercasino, 32Red, Ladbrokes, Hard Rock.
That was a long 5-minutes! Gotta get back to work! :(

Putting this back in the limelight as since it was moved, no-one's signed up :D

Forum active at: Link Outdated / Removed - watch out for new developments very shortly ;)

Thanks KK for your expert insight:thumbsup:

You've inspired me now to develop some sort of self-disciplined strategy. My problem is, low rolling takes time and I have so little time for playing, I bet big(ish) just to get something done. Like the other night, I had about 20 mins to blow 85 eur - I managed that very well mind you... When I have more time, I like to low roll and up the bets only when I'm winning. These days I'm always expecting to lose anyway, I haven't won anything worth withdrawing in MONTHS, I must say it's been putting me off gambling - I'm doing less and less of it these days, the idea seems less attractive as there's been no reward for doing it.

Simmo!, a humble suggestion - maybe it would be a good idea to put all the whole progressive challenge under this thread and keep it going here in the general discussion area - that way it'll stay where people can see it, and I think the screenies and other discussion would fit under one topic?

Off topic: Just checked my bank account and there was an 8 billion euro transaction there:eek2: . Unfortunately it was a withdrawal and needless to say my bank didn't approve it. Some typo I made while paying bills.

Cheers,
SM

King Cashalot is now available in the 32Red Flash version :D Plus its at over 1/2 million $$$ at the mo :eek2: Gimme gimme gimme...!
