Just had a terrible gaming session at Slots Capital trying out this new slot to see if it was worth anything and well my thoughts are it is not worth crap! Really high variance & during the spins I was lucky to even get
a win paying more then $1!! Just wondering if anyone else has tried it and had any thoughts...

I really wish Rival would fix the payout levels on their slots I think more people would play if they didn't feel they were wasting money..

Well the first comment is AT LAST!
I was first notified of this new slot in 2009 - took a long time to finish!

My second comment: Oh no - more of the same :(
Unfortunately Rival have been moving the same way as NetEnt in recent times. Here we have another slot which is great visually but when you analyse it, has little substance.
Making it 50 win-lines automatically makes it low variance - I repeatedly had multiple 3 and 4 of-a-kind wins which returned a total less than my total bet. Even if you hit 5 of the top pay symbol it's only line bet x5000 = total bet x100.

And totally what I expected to see on the RTP page: 93.32% :eek2:
WHY do they have to make LOW variance slots with such low RTP? Low variance should allow then to offer high RTP as there is very little risk to the casino of anyone hitting a mega-win on this type of game.
I don't think this slot will be making an appearance in "Winner Screenshots" anytime soon...

Looks good and is fun to play - but not a patch on many of Rival's older slots. They might not look as flashy, but at least you have a REAL chance of hitting a substantial win.

I have to agree the older slots are the best.. I know Rival reads the threads here and that is why I have made this post to show them that they could see a return of old players if they spent a bit of time
making the newer released slots more valuable to players, as it is now I feel money is being wasted on the new slots.
If I bet $1.50 and get 5 symbols in a row with a .16 payout I want to toss my mouse against the screen in a temper...lol

There are a few good Rival brands out there and don't have a problem playing in them but it will be on the older slots where I know I can at least have a chance of winning something. Players are sick of
RTG so I think it would benefit Rival to make players happen with some changes...

They have taken a step in the right direction already by removing dormant white labels that were poorly ran.. that is a point to the good IMO

Hi all

Thanks for your review and comments on the games. It is so important for us as Rival operators to get this feedback as sometimes we are too close and cant see the it from a players perspective(even though we try to do EVERYTHING from a player-centric point of view).

That said, I will look into your comments above and see how some of our players are feeling about the game. I am also happy to share some game stats with you that may be of more use if we look at it on a macro level.

You know where and how to reach us and we look forward to your continuing support.

Take care

As you say, a few good Rival brands. I am not fond of White Labels. I am not fond of bonus banning systems either.

Some of the older slots are perfect. However, since Rival made the decision to limit betsize to 2$ on some of the slots (mostly 20 lines with expanding wilds in free spins) they haven't released one good slot machine. They had the chance with Scary Rich 3, but it's not that kind of machine we want (or I). I want a new slot, or many new slots, with that kind of variance you see in SR1, SR2, switch in time etc.:)

Hiya, I cant speak to the Variance issues but I can tell you that the bet limits are typically set by the operator and depend often on the type/level of player that you are categorised as and the promo that you are participating in.

Speak to support at the group/brand that you're playing at and ask them about your limits?

I used to like Rival slots, but good casinos were too few and far in between and I was never confident of being paid so I stopped playing.

I just get the impression Rival are trying to win more casino business by lowering their RTP so that bigger profits can be made. This is really short sighted because players are not that stupid.

I am not talking about a personal betsize limit. I am talking about a Rival decision for all players.

I don't know what kind of info you have, what people at Rival have told you.

July 22 2010 were Rival operators informed by Rival that the bet limit on these slots were changed: Scary Rich, Scary Rich 2, Psychedelic Sixities and Fixer Upper.

The reason was that the variance together with bonuses was a risk factor. If you want I can give you more info about this decision in July 2010, and stand alone Rivals VS White Labels at that time. Just send me a PM. :)

I think Maphesto is right; the max bet on Scary Rich was capped at $2 per spin a few years back - at EVERY casino, for EVERY player, regardless of whether using a bonus or not.

This (along with many other things Rival have done over the years) is very short-sighted as it pushes away the very players casinos should want to attract - high-rollers. In the long run the RTP takes care of everything, so what are they worried about?

Hey Guys, thanks for the info... We obviously weren't party to those decisions back then as we were not in operation then. I have had a quick look at SR2 and can tell you that the max bet for a VIP player -with us- on that specific game is $10. I would like to see the info that you have and will PM you my details.

I just checked with Scary Rich in Slots Capital and it is bet max of $2 that is not cool for high rollers!

And this was because of Rival's decision July 2010, before that it was 20$ maximum. Some White Label casinos have other choices...Rival want the high rollers for themselves.

Hi all just to update you all I was informed by a good source that the bet limits are indeed set by each operator, they can adjust this per player as they see fit.
I would suggest maybe mailing the casino manager at your preferred casino and asking the bet limit to be raised up :)

Thanks Streak!! I can also confirm that on the games mentioned above, we have Max bets set between $10 and $50. Maphesto is still going to send me through the list so I can post a definitive list of the limits at each game.

PS, sorry about the Cards! ;-(

I was talkning about an issue over three years ago where Rival informed operators about a limit at 2$ on these high variance games. And my point is that since then Rival haven't released such variance slot machine again. I am not having an issue with low betsize today.

So Rival, go back to where you were before the Tradition scandal and your decision to lower betsize and see what fun slots you made then.

Btw, I just had to check my old SoF account, the betsize max is still lower on the four mentioned slots. It's 50$ and 75$ on others and 2$/10$ on the four Rival made decisions about July 22 2010.

Hey man ! Please can you give me a clue on how to check this RTP of a thing before playing slots? Or which slot on 32red is cool to play with good RTP?

So your beef is with the type of new slots Rival are serving up these days, is that a fair synopsis?

Well you can either open each game and click on the "Help" tab bottom left, or you could look on my SlotBeaters site for a full list:
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

Please note though, that since I last updated that page Rival have changed (yet again!) the RTP figures on many (if not all) of their slots, so the RTPs I state there might not exactly match with Rival's current figures.

As for MG; I don't have figures for very many of their slots (only about 60), but those I do have are all above 95%, with the larger majority being above 96%.

{Edit to add}
Just checking Jolly Roger again, and TODAY it says the RTP is 94.50%.
Three days ago it said 93.32% - and I have the screenshot to prove it! ;)

93.32% that's a bit of a weird RTP isn't it?
What I mean, I've always seen RTP's posted as 96.50 or 95.65 etc. etc., can't say I've ever seen 93.32%, maybe they did a BetFred on the typo

I just hate everthing about their

stupid slots. From the pathetic RTP to the cheezy Japanese animation. I don't play Rival.

This game was 1 of the more fun games from Rival i think.
I still havent had any good hits on it though.
x30 is the best so far & it was with 2 wilds.
In the bonus games i just got x10-20 so far.
