Hi Everyone

Playtech are initiating the launch of their new online poker software, 'iPoker', with 'Play' tables now in operation.

The software allows both 2D and 3D views and the graphics are up to the usual high Playtech standard.

A choice of downloads are available with the following URL's :-

Outdated URL (Invalid)
Outdated URL (Invalid)
Outdated URL (Invalid)
Link Removed ( Old/Invalid)

Any comments/feedback is greatly appreciated.

Best regards

Geoff

WADR Geoff -

Those URLS really shouldn't have been released. Some private testing has been done and needless to say there are lots of bugs - could you perhaps look into removing those? PT will lose a lot of clientele if players download faulty software the first time - they won't come back.

Playtech Poker Sites

Hi Spear

I was asked to release the URL's as they should be working fine now. Only 'ClubDice' and 'FairPoker' launched yesterday with the other 2 launching later today.

There shouldn't be any problems with downloading and playing the software although the main reason that only 'Play' money is available is to confirm that everything will run smoothly before the 'real' money launch.

If you did have any difficulties with the downloads then I would greatly appreciate any feedback on what problems you had with the software.

Best regards

Geoff

If you don't mind my asking, who asked you to release the URLs?

Two of them were not working, of course. Another one is missing entirely. And at least with one of the remainder, the download broke up 3 times and proceed to install (and fail) - and then could not connect to the server.

Needless to say it is not yet a done deal and it does not make sense to have the URLs available to the public until you get closer to a product that works.

I am still testing with one of the operators.

I got an email today from Casino Las Vegas regarding Fairpoker.com and asking me to try it. I actually had downloaded clubdicepoker last nite and was playing. It seemed to work ok for me. In fact, I think its great software. And the dealer at my table was HOT!!

It probably works for some people. But imagine if maybe you just happened to be the lucky one, and most people have problems?

The reason I am testing is because we expect to release a special promo shortly with one of them - but I always test first and make sure that problems are being resolved before I move forward.

So now I have tested a couple of the links.

Both of them broke up during download and tried to install (and failed).
1 hung during the registration process. 1 said "Internal Error - unable to create account". The 1 which did get registered even though it hung, cannot connect to the game server.

To me, that is more than indicative that the product is not yet ready for prime time - so no point in disappointing other people.

Might be too late now that Casino LV let the cat out of the bag :(

It's seldom that I find the time to play poker. But when and if I do find the time it won't be anywhere near any ANY Playtech licensee. As far as I'm concerned Playtechs are as bad as they come. Have a good one.

Playtech certainly do not seem to be covering themselves with glory in an operational sense...and what was that incident in the last newsletter all about? Trying to silence a player advocate that most people respect?

I like

Honestly, I have high hopes for this software. Its looks like fun software, should attract plenty of little fishes. But the worry of getting paid always looms in the back of my mind.

I have not been able to figure out how to view the lobby and games without signing up. If there is not a way this will be very bad. Many players want to see the graphics, games available, tournaments etc before giving any personal info. This should be fixed ASAP. Virtually any software will let you view anything before signinig up.

Why would anyone want to play at a Playtech poker site and wait 5 days for a cashin when they can play pretty much anywhere else and be paid in less then 1 day?

Good Point Pokeraddict - I'll pass this on.

$10 Freerolls

As part of the continued testing, there are continual $10 'Freeroll' tournaments being offered, in both 5 & 10 player formats.

Anyone who registers can play for free.

Best regards

I attempted to download fairplay yesterday - the install failed. I then went onto Noble poker and successfully installed.

I played for about half an hour and uninstalled - first impressions are everything! I would agree with previous posters that playtech should have gotten it right and/or at the very least gotten it "mostly right" prior to offering a preview.

is it normal to have to deposit by neteller before you can withdraw using it? i have played as a prop player for more than 28 hours at one of these rooms and now they wont cash to neteller unless i deposit! i am not happy...

It's quite normal to have to make a deposit using Neteller before you can use Neteller to withdraw from casinos/poker rooms.

Are they saying you have to make a deposit before you can withdraw, or are they saying you have to make a deposit using Neteller, before you can withdraw to Neteller?

If you don't feel comfortable depositing (personaly I don't see a problem), have them send you a check. (I haven't checked what that may cost in fees, though).
