When did the 'My Promotions' tab in the cashier first appear? I only noticed it when I received an email from VIP. It said my account was dormant (they've charged me $2 for the last 4 months now) and I have until 28th of this month to finish the wagering requirements and to check the 'My Promotions' link in the cashier for details. It shows I have about $6k to wager from a few promotions I didn't finish playing for.

Are they serious that they will remove all the bonuses if I don't finish this by the 28th?

I also checked my Intercasino account and I need to wager over $30k to release all the bonuses that have built over the last year or so. I hope I don't have until 28th there too. Well I know I'd have to finish the wagering sometime but never got around to it.

Then you shouldn't have cashed out your deposit after you lost the bonus, Sirius. That IS bonus-abuse - and I use the term VERY selectively.

Inter is probably the best casino out there, and very, very fair with their bonuses. I know some people will abuse ANYTHING, in ANYWAY - and again, I'm using that horrible term extremely selectively to apply to this one situation and no other - but Inter should not be subject to this behaviour.

The

openly advises people to cash out when they reach $91 so they never lose their deposit and can reuse that money to get the bonus for the following month. If Inter allows it to happen, it isn't bonus abuse... But for them to stick bonus money into a dormant account month after month is player abuse

Dormant customers

Every month VIP Casino and InterCasino send out an email to all dormant accounts who have a balance urging them to either use or withdraw their money.

A dormant customer is defined as someone who has not made any transaction in the past 90 days. In accordance with our terms and conditions, a 'dormant' account will also have a $2 dormancy fee deducted monthly from the account, until there is no longer a balance. All dormant customers receive an email notification every month informing them about the administration fee and urging them to either play or withdraw their balance.

Regarding our most recent email about bonus money, it clearly states that you simply need to make your account active again by either wagering 1c or withdrawing your cleared funds to prevent the unused bonus money being taken. You do not need to fulfill all your wagering requirements to stop your unused BONUS money from being taken. You simply need to make your account active again as explained above.

Please contact me directly at casinomanager@vipcasino.com should you have any further questions regarding this issue.

Caruso, I don't know where you got the idea I was withdrawing my deposit each time (although I have withdrawn cash sometimes when I've won in tournaments). My problem was I didn't have time to play so left the deposit and bonus in each time. I've got quite a lot of money in InterCasino as a result. Obviously, I could have withdrawn my deposit each time like some people do in order to use it to get the next month's bonus but I never did that.

On the VIP issue, the VIP email wasn't very clear at all. It actually says I need to complete the wagering by the 28th. I will copy what it says here once I can access the email again.

Hi,

Well I would contact you directly but this is not exactly correct what you have said. I received an email on the 8th (not 6th) and another a couple of days ago on 22nd. This is what it says:

I notice you haven't used your account C8020xxxxx since my last email on the 6th, when I informed you that your account is officially classified as 'dormant'.

A $2 dormancy administration fee was deducted from your account on the 5th September and I would like you to be aware that any BONUS money in your account that has not had its wagering requirement fulfilled, will be removed at midnight 28th September.

Although you think otherwise, it sure sounds like I need to wager it all by the 28th. I don't have that much withdrawable here as I withdrew some cash after you stopped offerring the monthly bonuses (I must have also won some in a tourney) so only a third of the balance is withdrawable. I don't particularly want to wager it all by the 28th to withdraw it all. I would have to install it on another computer because it causes me to roboot every 20minutes on my main computer (only have win98 on it).

yeah it sounds weird.

If you have $30k to wager, given the $2250 wagering requirement it means you have claimed about 15 bonuses, which would mean $1350 in deposits and $1350 in bonuses. So Siris has presumably got $2700 in his account (or slightly less, but given the amount of uncleared wagering, he can't have wagered much)

That seems an awful lot of money to leave dormant.

The only other explanation is withdrawing deposits, leaving the bonus behind.

I was having problems with the software. I had even more uncleared bonuses but wagered some when I installed it onto another computer a few months back. The Intercasino account isn't dormant at all because I've been depositing but not played that much. The amount in the account isn't quite that high because I've withdrawn a couple of times before usually after I've won in some tournaments. If you win in tournaments, the money is cashable but not if you lose it wagering. Then you can't cash any winnings at all above the cleared bonuses (the uncleared date back to over a year ago).

I don't think I'm the only person to leave a couple of thousand in a casino account though! I will have to clear it and will try to as soon as I can. I'm more concerned with the VIP Casino email telling me I'd have to finish the wagering there in a few days.
