Has anyone successfully gotten QT to setup your Netspend reloadable account with them??

You can use it for ACH and Paypal and all that good stuff, but I just got a "declined" message from QT when I tried to register my Netspend reloadable card with them for withdrawals.

And yes, the account number and routing number were correct ;)

That's ridiculous. (Them, not you.) Netspend (basically) IS a bank. It's a REAL bank account with a REAL routing number (or else Paypal wouldn't accept it either.) You will see all over Netspend's site "META BANK."

This makes me sick. It's an ACH transfer, so what more do they want? They just want us to use THEM to deposit again, that's why they don't want us to load OUR Netspend reloadable card via QT and deposit to casinos or get our money faster or bypass our bank in the process.

You can withdraw from QT to Wired plastic. www.wiredplastic.com
The card is free and works just like netspend.

Netspend does not accept wire transfers. Quicktender sends money to your bank or card via wire transfers.

I use wired plastic and set it up for $3.95 per month charge. I get my money from QT and them pull it all out and put it on my Netspend card.

There are a lot of business that don't look at Netspend or any of the prepaid accounts as real bank accounts.

But it beats a wire coming into a "REAL" bank and being rejected.

NetSpend is $9.95 or free if during a promotion - my new one was free and the $2 load fee was waived with a $250 load - and transactions are a buck each - no monthly charge - ATM is $2 so I just dont withdraw $20 or buy smokes with the thing and I've never had the cost top 2% in the 3+ years I've had one.

READ THIS!!! In the fine print (miles of it!) it says you can't have over 3 cards at any given time. No one knows this. Especially the NetSpend retailers. Well, I lose mine a lot and didn't used to report them lost. They might have been upside down a buck or two and I didn't want my new card soaked for the chickenfeed. HOWEVER, when purchasing my FOURTH card, no one said DICK - but -by the time I got home, ALL the NetSpend cards, including the brand new one with the $250 on it were canceled - automatically - due to the 3 card limit being exceeded. No one said anything. I just got declined. When I called to see WTF everything was explained. They were able to re-activate my newest card but they recouped my overages from the old cards. THAT'S why they implemented the 3 card rule.

NetSpend Support is CLOSED from 10 PM to 7 or 8 AM CMT so don't bust a grape at 2 AM if there's a problem - won't do any good.

Never could withdraw from anywhere with it tho, including QT. They're not a bank, just a outfit that sells these cards by hanging bunches of em on displays in stores and check cashing joints - so natch it's never a cash out option and never was. I withdraw w/QT then deposit everything to a casino where I can get paid cash in a day or two. I just wager 5% or more at Friendly Casino (not really the name of the casino and sometimes it's closer to 95% - Doh!) before requesting a cash out.

Since first using QT that's the only deposit method I use so there's no discussion at cash out. I found a $20 free chip in a casino account and built it to $400 but when I went to cash out, I realized that this was an account I opened for my Dad - deceased almost 3 years. The log in was automatic and alpha-numeric so I never was tipped off by seeing his old username. So how to get the $400 out of my dead Dad's casino acct? Just specified QuickTender, entered my account number and PRESTO! No questions asked! Tricky, huh!

Have a Green Dot Card - All its good for is you can buy Reload Packs 24/7 at Rite-Aid or CVS (no convenient NetSpend spots near me) and you can load QT with em. Green Dot resists registration at all online gaming and porn sites cuzza the "Wholesome Family Card" posturing. Don it make ya wanna puke?

hah.....

About 2-3 years ago, I purchased a greendot card. At the time, it wasn't so "wholesome," as they charged you a WHOPPING $19.95 to "upgrade" your account to use it for online gambling. They EXPLICITLY stated you could use it for that.

Then about 3-4 months later, it didn't work anymore for gambling. I call up just to find out that they started blocking it.

Could I get my $19.95 back, seeing as how I bought it and upgraded it for that sole reason? Hell no...tough titties. In all honesty, I think they were running a scam from the start. Just think of how many millions of $ they made from everyone upgrading their card, only to screw them in the end and never had any intentions of refunding their upgrade fees.

Screw greendot!

Well that sucks winbig. I got one recently and the packaging states that since they market to parents the card won't work on "adult" sites. And I understand their wanting to assure parents (a market segment that dwarfs gaming, porn, etc.) that Junior will be protected. Their market share grew expotentionally since they became a family card but they were dicks, for sure, for not accommodating you and everyone else they upgraded with the specific intention of financing their gambling, whacking off or a Happy Finish. NetSpend RULES just not avail 24/7 like GD.
