Hello

In another thread i said that i have started playing Netent games and i am starting to like them i must say my favourites so far are definitely DOA, Steamtower and Wishmaster but when i joined Casumo at weekend i saw others i had never played before so i tried them Tornado Farm Escape, Lost Island, Wonkey Rabbits and a lot of others.
They have so many but some i didn't think much of maybe i was just playing them at the wrong time or maybe they are just not very good games i don't know so i started this thread to find out which netent games you like and why ?

would be nice if you could put more than one i am just hoping everyone just doesn't put DOA seems that game is popular if you would like to post which games you didn't like that will help too i am just looking for new games to try. xd

Thanks and much appreciated Anna

Thing I find is that when a new game launches everyone tries it out and there are loads of promos so you see more features.

After a while, the dust settles and fewer players tends to mean less wins and features.

I'd say I have three top Netent games.

1. DOA

2. Jack and the Beanstalk

3. Invisible Man.

Wishmaster is good but drains finds rapidly. Spinata in my view is just coming out of the "new and player heavily" category. Didn't rate it at first but found it delivered a few 100x wins in features - once or twice in rapid succession.

It always amazes me that netent aren't on the terminals in bookies.

Netent Games I find that 7/10 will give you a reasonable 'play time' for your deposit include

Jack and the Beanstalk
Go bananas
Steam Tower
Magic Portals
Egg O Matic

SH*T or bust games I also play

Creature from the black lagoon
Flowers
The Wish Master

See no mention of you know what :)
best of luck

I tried that Spinata aswell didn't think much of it but one i did try a few times which seemed to like lowering my balance was Thunderfist as when i play a slot i always try and get the bonus before i go had enough and come off but base game and bonus i noticed it didn't pay much and also the feature always seemed to take 200 + spins to get.

The number of players shouldn't make any difference to the number of wins or features on an RNG slot like NetEnt's (supposedly) are, and that's also why you won't find them in the bookies.

The slots in bookies are compensated, all the terminals are networked together and act as one giant fruit machine. So the number of features and wins IS more dependant on how much has been paid into the system

As always, luck comes into it and i think I just had a few lucky sessions, I like the feature though, it is especially good when you get a big block of wilds in the middle.

I adjusted my playing style a while ago though, only ever (well, mostly) play minimum stakes with my deposits and play higher stakes if i get a reasonable win. I usually determine my own criteria at the start and very seldom that i change my mind - means you get more playtime for less outlay.

That said, my best Jack and the Beanstalk win came after a long session. Think i had £20 left so instead of my 20p stakes I upped it to £2 and thought it would just clear my balance. Instead I won best part of £2,500.

Good luck!

I realise it shouldn't but my experiences suggest this isn't always the case. Could it simply be that it is generating more random numbers in a shorter period, therefore, there are more random numbers producing wins?

For example, for every 10,000 random numbers (lets call them spins) if 1% wins something then that's 100. If a game gets 100,000 spins in an hour then that's 1,000 wins. If it gets 500,000 in an hour, that's 5,000 wins. If you happen to be playing during that hour, the pool of wins is larger. Sure, its more widely distributed but simply put - there are more available. I'm not sure if that makes sense but it seems to fit with my experience which i accept is entirely anecdotal.

Interesting. Didn't really know there was a distinction in the way the two worked, always assumed it was in a similar manner. Thanks for that, good to know!

AFAIK the RNG runs continuously, producing thousands of numbers a second, and is actually a separate entity from the games themselves.
When you press spin the game requests a number or numbers from the RNG, you just get the numbers that happen to have been generated at that moment in time, so there's not really a 'pool of winning numbers'.

From what I've picked up on here and doing a bit of research online, the sequence for a basic spin works like this:

Press spin
A message including your current balance and stake is sent from your computer to the game server
A Request is sent from game server to RNG
The RNG returns 5 numbers
Each number is divided by the number of 'stops' on each reel (since most slots have a different number of stops on each reel)
The remainder of those divisions equals the reel position: 0 to reel length
Those 5 reel positions are used to calculate if there's a win (and how much), or not
The game server then sends the 5 reel positions and the win amount to and the updated balance to the casino server
The casino server sends an acknowledgement back to the games server
The Game server sends the same information to your computer

Obviously there's probably many intermediary steps.

Also on a side note - one of the reasons for lag is the game server having to wait for the acknowledgement from the casino's servers to say that the balance update and win (if there was one) have been recorded, before the game server can send you the result of the spin

Thanks, that's a really good explanation. I guess, on that basis, when you have a few good runs on a game it really is just luck of the draw but it does almost seem counter-intuitive as that means there can't be any programmed protection for the operators limiting wins (or for gamers getting a long losing streak) other than the probability of a winning (or losing) number being picked up.

Clearly the probability is weighted is in favour of the house but it isn't inconceivable that someone or a group of people could end up with a run of mega wins and could theoretically break the bank, although the probability is so small its unlikely to happen.

My head accepts this but my gut struggles to accept it. That is to say, I entirely believe the explanation and can rationalise how it works but when i'm sitting there getting good or bad spin after good or bad spin it feels like there is more to it. I'm not talking conspiracy theories, just how odd the randomness is at times.

It does clearly explain how and why a game will pickup where it left off if you're disconnected though.

I don't think the number of players playing has any effect on your chances of winning ......

The RNG spitting out a number for your spin is TOTALLY independent of other spins or how many players have already hit spin

Thanks for the replies and please keep them coming as i already mentioned i joined Casumo but with having to change my currency to euros when depositing then having to change the euros back into pound after withdrawing which i assume i get charged for this has put me off a bit with redepositing there again unless they change that in the future and allow multi currencies, So do any of you know which casinos are good to join which have a nice selection of Netents slots where i can play in pounds ?

Guts
Videoslots
Slotty Vegas
Betat

All highly reputable and deliver what you ask for. I'd suggest Guts and Videoslots as they seems to have a few more Netent games.

Also,.if you havent already, check out neteller for your deposits and withdrawals. I like it as your withdrawals are available as soon as processed by the casino.

You can get a prepaid MasterCard linked to your account so you can withdraw cash or make purchased the same day you withdraw.

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean, all I'm saying is that's how it's supposed to work, lol

I often wonder if a casino server could reject a spin (if it was a really huge win), rather than acknowledge it?

And I can appreciate how the TRTP can be achieved by the game it's self due to the paytable and reel strips etc, over millions of spins, with an even spread of random numbers and an equal number of players playing at EACH different stake.

But how does it all balance out when there's such a wide range of stakes, and most probably the majority of players playing at low stakes?

And how does it work with an individual casino especially if the smaller percentage of their players, who play at high stakes happen to be VERY LUCKY?

I was looking at Guts and see it has a very high rating i suppose i just wanted it confirmed before joining i know i don't have an account there as wms was always my slots of choice so sky vegas and slots magic where my usually slotting places but they don't have a huge selection of Netent games but that might be changing as the rep for slotsmagic said they are getting more and should be available soon but don't know how long that is and i want a go at DOA and bored got nothing to do today. xd

Part of all slots programming is to make a profit for the provider and the casinos, they will NEVER make a loss regardless if the luckiest of lucky bar stewards was to have the biggest 'roll' we have ever seen.

that may be true for only slot wins...but factor in the jackpots and I think it's different...

imagine opening a casino today to then have a play hit the hall fo gods JP for 6M tmrw in your casino:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Yup but I wonder what that means in reality. For example, some kind of casino specific throttling? Once payouts reach x in y period then what? Rejecting random numbers producing big wins effectively demanding another when a big win pops up? A change in the behaviour of the reels when they receive a high winning result - effectively having a number of tables they lookup the result against depending on predefined casino level criteria?

Maybe, maybe not. I dunno.

I thought these were pooled thus eliminating liability for any casino?

So would anyone else actually like to contribute to the thread about the actual title of the thread ? :)

Hi AnnaTS, and welcome to the forum :)

My top 5 NetEnt games at the moment:
DOA - Not a big supprice
Wishmaster - If its in a good mode, it can pay out really big
Jackpot 6000 - My favorite 3-weel slot. High RTP
SouthPark - Love the 4 features and the Beefcake-wild
Gonzoz Quest - Good old timer, often use it to finish WR

I actually like the traditional "3 scatters for free spins at x multiplier" NetEnt slots.

Excalibur, Pandora's Box, Trolls, Wild Witches (all basically clones of one another), and then Viking's Treasure is rarely mentioned here but is very good also.

There's no funky spreading wilds, or "last line scatter during free spins" to collect (or rather, swear because you're not getting them) or anything else like that.
Just land 3 or more scatters for free spins, which can all be retriggered. NetEnt's equivalent to Thunderstruck (original), Ladies Night, Tally Ho and so on...

Don't play much netent but here goes....

Jack and the beanstalk.....
Creature from the black lagoon
Gonzos quest

Have dabbled with wishmaster but just cannot get any wins on it.......YET
Steamtower........what a load of crap

Spinata grande refer to the above.......

Starburst......jury's still out on this one

Dead or alive.......totally dead for me.

I think that about does it for me on netent :D

Good news for you is I don't like DOA - so I wont mention it... Oh poop - I just did! :p

Most slots can have good runs and bad runs - even the "crap" ones according to some players here.
These are my favourite NetEnts:

South Park (1)
Evolution
Jack and the Beanstalk (high variance - I once went over 1000 spins without getting free-spins!)
Frankenstein
Groovy Sixties (Very old and pretty high variance)
Reel Rush
Eggomatic

Would you Adam & Eve it!

As it's Easter, I decided to play one of my favourites - EGGomatic...
Deposited €200 and headed right to it, betting €1.40 and occasionally €2.80/spin. Dodgy start and nearly €100 down before my first lot of free-spins, followed by another decent lot & a Mystery Egg of x50, which brought my balance up to around €350.

Then I hit one of those LOVELY Mystery Eggs! :D

EggX125_Apr15.webp

Then decided to "push my luck" a bit & take my bets up to €5 for a few spins... and less than 10 spins later, I got the expanding wild right where you want it! :D

Ofcourse it is very true slots will never lose at the long run. Although I think your idea about how a slot works is wrong. If I am right a slot is totally random, which means in theory you could win a jackpot 3 times in a row at 1 slot, which leaves this slot as a loser for the casino for a certain period. Slots are making their profits the way their paytable is setup, just like in all other casino games.
This makes it possible a slot, like every game, cán in theory lose over a short period of time, but all will be evened out on the long run.

Ha! After seeing your post I thought I'd give it a shot. I've never played EGGomatic before.
Wasn't liking it initially but not long into my game I hit free spins, and "caught" the £125 egg, amongst others...

Total win was £170. Thanks for the hint KK

AnnaTS - I hope you don't just exclusively play NetEnt. There are other really good providers and between Casumo and for example VideoSlots (which is my favourite online casino) it should cover pretty much all the different slot providers you will need. If I was only playing at Casumo I'd miss out on playing Microgaming, Next Gen, Play 'n' Go etc. etc.

In my experience NetEnt can give you good playtime in minimal deposit due to bets of 0.20p and below but getting a big win on their slots is pretty rare - most wins for me are between x20 and x100. Also think their older slots are better than their newer releases.

Favourites :-

Dead or Alive
Jack and the Beanstalk
Alien Robot
Wild Turkey
Creature from the black lagoon

Avoid :-

Starburst - Lame slot. Crap pay. Dull.
Gonzo's Quest - About as frustrating as a slot can get most of the time

Congrats on your win i did play this and i did get the free spins but i wanted a cig so i eneded up going for a cig when they free spins was happening and i saw one of them multi coloured eggs but can't remember if i got it i don't think i did as i don't think i won that much unless they have ones with smaller amounts in and not always big amounts.

Nice , i played last time Victoriouse and got the Senator with max Wild symbols -- hence i made a screenshot i for got to save it after i closed the comp :(

if anyone wonders how much it will pay it is 6000 - played with 5€ and got 1200€ a bit low actually for the highest possible win

No i don't just play Netent games actually i have only started playing them why i started this thread as i don't know much about their slots but i usually play WMS slots.
I don't know anything about the other slot manufacturers i might of played their games without noticing i have played some games i think they are made by novomatic like book of ra etc and some barcrest games like thai flower but i would never join a casino just to play them games.

OMG
I would NEVER leave the room when a feature was playing - even if my house were on fire!
Sometimes it can take AGES to get a feature - I wouldn't want to not watch it 100%.
(I do sometimes leave the room on auto-play in normal spins, as long as the slot is set to stop and wait for me to come back & press a button to start the feature).

KK

getting back to the initial question I can say that I like:
- Fisticuffs - it doesn't have a freespins or bonus round but the boxing wilds can still pay very nicely
- Starburst - is always nice to play down the rest of bonus money to 0
- South Park - suprising extra features during the game - hilarious bonus/freespin round
- EggOmatic - can pay very well though it is annoying if you miss a bonus egg
