Neteller Down?

Planned maintenance gone badly wrong. Customers are giving them a hard time on Facebook, and they have only just managed to restore partial service. It was SUPPOSED to have been over by 4am, so an overrun of over 12 hours, or 150% of the scheduled time allocated for this, which was 8pm to 4am.

The record stands at over 3 DAYS over the scheduled end time, and that REALLY created anger among customers, but Neteller didn't learn, and still use a system that has no emergency rollback facility if an upgrade goes wrong, instead they have to be down for however long it takes to trace and fix the problems. Their system also means that they can't run normal service in parallel to the upgrades, which is something banks have been able to do for years, with hefty fines for any bank that causes an outage due to a failed upgrade and leaves customers unable to access their accounts and pay bills, even for a few hours.

Just like I predicted over the weekend! These planned outages never go well for Neteller.
