MyPaylinQ on the way out the door?

So it would seem as if MyPaylinQ has lost another merchant. As of earlier today MyPaylinQ is no longer a deposit option at Slotocash.
I know I was told a while ago, that eWallets are slowly becoming a thing of the past for US players.
Yet it just surprised me was all. Especially since the main page is working so far as far as I can see nothing out of the ordinary is happening.
Anyone have any further info on whats going on with MyPaylinQ?

No-one will really know till it is too late. It was the same with EWX, and the main page lingered long after the wallet was gone. It is the removal of the option from merchants to watch out for, they seem to get wind of things long before players. When EWX went down, one merchant made it clear they knew the whole story, yet refused to let the information get to players during a very narrow, but critical window of opportunity where players could have gotten their money into a safer place - a casino still taking the option.

By getting the money into a casino, players are in a better position when it comes to fighting for it's return. Even 2 years later, EWX is a very unusual case, with players not even being told the story on an official basis, and unlike other seizures and shutdowns, still no negotiated plan to return money to customers.

A prudent strategy might be to ensure most money is stored in a reputable casino, rather than MyPaylinQ, and leave things like that till enough is known. If the merchant that took it off puts it back again, that would be a positive sign. If other merchants start removing it, this is a negative sign.

Merchants may be removing the option because they are not being paid the money players have deposited when due, even if they don't know why this is happening. When EWX went under, some merchants were insisting that players' withdrawals went back to EWX even though it was known there were serious problems. Where this happened, players never saw those funds again. Where players had their funds stay in the casino rather than go with the casino's insistence it went to EWX, they eventually got their funds after EWX was dropped as an option, forcing the casino to pick another method to insist upon.

Well the story I have officially gotten, is that there is technical issues with MyPaylinQ. As soon as there resolved they will be brought back into there cashier page.
So this tells me 1 of 2 things.
Either A that the technical issue is with money coming from MyPaylinQ isn't as consistent as Sloto would like this is there "catch up" with our payment scenario or else were no longer going to offer this as an option.
or
Option B there processor isn't working, surprise, surprise, so they can't for now take any additional deposits.

Either way this isn't good news for anyone with money in MyPaylinQ. I never kept anything in there longer than 15 minutes at most. Mainly I used them as a backup in the case there was credit card processing issues. Otherwise I never withdrew anything to them.
I'm hoping this isn't the end again of another wallet.

Well, "Technical issues" was the excuse being given out when EWX collapsed, so why should players believe it again now. In fact, the "technical issues" excuse is used more often when things are about to go under than when there really are temporary issues of a technical nature.

It is more usual to place a notice about an issue rather than go to the trouble of removing an option altogether. I don't see Neteller removed as an option when they have these long maintenance outages. We get a notice on Neteller, and the deposits just fail at the casino side.

It seems they have already decided it is going to take a long time to fix the issue, even though the issue has not yet been identified. They know more than they are saying.

Try contacting MyPaylinQ and see what story they give out, and a merchant that still has it as an option.

Well according to Club World Group, everything is on the up and up with MyPaylinQ.
I have now sent a message to MyPaylinQ personally, and just am seeing what there story is.
I know Bovada bowed out on them a while ago. I don't know the exact reason why, because neither side is saying much other than they decided to stop being associated with each other.

The problem with that is money in the wallet and nowhere to spend it. Options for US players are very limited, so an operator isn't going to ditch one that works unless they have a very good reason.

A slow exodus of merchants still shows there is a problem that negotiations haven't been able to resolve.

Here's the say from MyPaylinQ's end

I was wondering if there was a reason on why Slotocash has removed MyPaylinQ as an option? Are there technical issues or are they no longer going to offer this as an option?

This leaves a lot to be answered, maybe Ms Sloto can shed some light on this subject?

We are not currently supporting Mypaylinq due to communication issues, I am not aware of any problems with this option but would update our members if this was the case.

Kind Regards

Ms Sloto

In what way?

Is this a technical communication issue with their network interfacing with yours, or something "human"?

If the latter, it would be wise for players to look for the exit, even though no actual problems appear to have arisen.

The certificate expires today, so is technicaly still valid here in the UK as well as the US.

It seems they have been taken over by GPS, a payment processing gateway based in Costa Rica. I suspect the website is BS, just cover for what is really going on (gambling deposits). Being in Costa Rica would probably scare off "normal" merchants from using them, but it is a great place to base a gambling processor.

However, if anything goes wrong, who in Costa Rica is going to be looking out for the customers with money tied up there?

EWX was based in Canada, yet that didn't stop them screwing players around for months with lies before vanishing without a trace.

The certificate error is probably a lazy web designer who has failed to update to the new one, however, it could also indicate abandonment of the domain. This would be OK if it was obvious that a new one had been set up under the GPS brand, but there seems to be no evidence of this.

I have a transaction pending, should I reverse it untill Myp is back online?
Can't even access there website.

From their site:-

MyPaylinQ is now Global Process Network .NET MyPaylinQ has been acquired by GLOBAL PROCESS NETWORK (GPN) and carries the new brand of GPN. Nothing else has changed and you can continue to use your account as you have in the past. For assistance, email support@mypaylinq.com

www(dot)mypaylinq seems to be discontinued. It can't be reached via a search engine link, but typed directly into the browser it redirects to their new site (www.glopronet.net), which appears to be the same one I saw last week. The domain shift seems to have taken place very recently.

Odd that they didn't inform their users though.

Try the new domain and log in to your account. If all is well, you are probably OK for now, but if anything doesn't work (such as can't log in with your details), it may be worth reversing that withdrawal until the position has become clear. Their support email still seems to be on the old domain, but it may not work if they have taken it down (or had it taken down by the Feds).

i never got online with pay line Q option. didnt want to go through the loops sending in my banking info and docs . to much trouble. i have slacked off gambling but, when i do gamble i usually am down to 2 casinos. and they still do cks and wire transfers. at least last time i checked anyway.

JPC to GPN went smoothly , now waiting for GPN to WU.
I love this extra cash comming my way, ty JPC free $50 made into $250 :D

Ugh denied....

1. I forgot that my ID expired that I had sent in for approvals
2. I didn't use an even number to withdraw. 230 Doh!

Interesting last statement from them at the end of e-mail:

Your funds are once again available in your account.

Additionally, we need to advise you of a situation that has arisen that may affect the timely payment of your withdrawal request should you decide to re-submit it.

The issue is that our bank in Costa Rica is conducting an audit of all of our accounts, along with all of their customers who are in any way connected with the gaming industry. Initially, we were given reason to hope that the matter would be put to rest this week, but have now been informed that it could take "anywhere from several more days, to several more weeks".

Until the bank (which is government owned) completes all of their audits we are not being granted access to any of our funds and therefor have no means by which to transfer any funds to our customers for their withdrawal requests, or for any and all of our other business expenses.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the banks actions, but be assured that it is 100% out of our control.
Also, be assured that as soon as we are granted access to the funds in our accounts we will process and pay all valid withdrawal requests as soon as is practically possible.

This could be more serious than they are letting on, and could explain many of the strange processing issues reported recently.

Costa Rica normally turn a blind eye to online gambling operations using a company license to supply gambling services offshore. Something must have rattled their cage to not only run a general audit, but freeze funds pending the outcome.

It is possible that behind the scenes, they are being leant on by the DoJ or Homeland Security, and want to be seen to be doing something about the worst excesses. The impact for players can be quite serious, as with a chunk of funds having been frozen, the operators may struggle to process the withdrawals until this is sorted out, and even this assumes the audit finds nothing amiss and releases the funds intact.

I wonder if this is connected to the big poker seizures, which caused Costa Rican based parts of the operation to evaporate overnight, leaving the government there to deal with the fall out from uncompensated workers and business debts, and then finding all the funds had been quietly exported beforehand.

Maybe the audit is designed to root out any companies making preparations to "do a runner" without fulfilling it's obligations to the Costa Rican economy. Such an audit may even scare a few operators to ditch Costa Rica altogether in favour of place that ask even fewer questions and require fewer undertakings.

It would be interesting to see whether Liberty Slots are suddenly having processing problems, as it would offer a clue to where they are "secretly licensed".

Mypaylinq is no longer a deposit or withdrawl option at the clubworld casinos at the moment.I think all the deposit options are going to be gone soon:(

They are based in Costa Rica under their new name. Maybe they have had their funds frozen too for this audit. If the Costa Rican government are looking into MYPaylinQ accounts, it follows that the potential lack of liquidity would prompt casinos to suspend this option until things become clearer.

It seems that the idea that such things could operate in Costa Rica and be left alone by the authorities is no longer true, and this audit could be the root cause behind many of the recent processing issues.

It seems this is the first casino to actually say what is REALLY going on, the rest seem to have been feeding us a diet of BS.

Update , no money yet :(

Here's my last e-mail since their live chat never came online to ask.

Date: 12/18/2012 8:21:39 PM

Subject: Withdrawl Request

Just wondering why it hasn't been processed.
Are you guys still under Audit by Costa Rica?
Thanks

Response:

Unfortunately, as of this morning, we have not received any news yet from the bank.
Any and all correspondence regarding any withdrawal issues should be directed to cashier@mypaylinq.com rather than to our Support Dept.
