It is becoming "bleedin' obvious" that as soon as you win (get ahead over the life of your account), the plug gets pulled on your promos.
What I find galling are the LIES and BULLSHIT you sometimes get when you query this.
I was bonus banned at Roxy Palace (their trigger point seems to be +5000 credits), but first they pretended it was my spam filters, and when I told them I didn't have any, they said they would check with their technical support. I got the newsletters back, but only for a short while, and they stopped sharply upon a later decent sized withdrawal. The next lie was that they weren't running a promotion that week, which was complete bullshit since they ALWAYS ran the slots tournament featured in the newsletter, and I was able to confirm their lie because the newsletter was also available (unpersonalised) in the lobby, and it was advertising the very promotion the CS rep said they weren't running that week.
I had to DRAG it out of their rep, but I was able to get them to admit that I had been unsubscribed "by management decision" because I was ahead.
I was STILL getting the newsletters for Splendido though, but here I was down. Later I got lucky there, and hit what I thought was the trigger point again, and lo and behold, NO MORE NEWSLETTERS
My latest withdrawal from GoWild lifted me 600 ahead, and all of a sudden NO MORE WEEKLY NEWSLETTERS, but the promotions ARE still running as they always have done, because they display in the lobby.
I have also got admission from Club World that one of my three bonus bans was due to me winning at stud poker (4OK and dealer qualified

), and it was almost $2000. My second bonus ban was after winning almost $9000 on reel series slots in a number of sessions (withdrawing the allowed $3000 each week, but continuing to play on the rest). My final bonus ban was after another reel series slots session which was big enough to straddle 2 weeks because of the $3000 limit.
It is clear to me now that the sudden loss of newsletters is usually due to me being ahead overall, so I have no real need to ask, and get lied to.
If you are not ahead too much, it may just be a pause, indeed, they may even be wanting to see if you WILL occasionally play WITHOUT a bonus. THis would apply if you are ahead overall, and ONLY play when a bonus is offered.
There are, however, an increasing number of tales from players who have OFTEN deposited without bonuses, as well as with, and they STILL get bonus banned DESPITE being the model loyal player rather than the 100% "I will only play with a good bonus" type.
32Red have NOT bonus banned me though, yet I won an astonishing 51,000 in a single session early in the summer, so being VIP here clearly means something more than merely being a profitable player. VIP means nothing once you find that you can be dumped from top VIP to less than average merely for the "crime" of winning more than the sum of your deposits.
For casinos that bonus ban players merely for winning, especially if this has been down to luck, such as on the slots, rather than "advantage play", it is a bad business move. Players that get the ban will tell others, who will then know that no matter how much they become "valued VIP" at these casinos, it will take only 5 Thors in a line to throw them down the stairs to the peasants quarters, where they can only look UP to players receiving "normal non VIP" treatment.
