I'm sure that this is covered at length elsewhere...

We are allowed to play at some MGS casinos, if memory serves, only those with whom we held accounts prior to some date or another.

If we are permitted to play at these casinos, why are we banned from playing the new games?

Sorry if this has been gone over before.

We've never got an answer from MCG, a casino or an affliate. I don't believe anyone knows but MCG themselves. All we've done is theorized about what is happening to USA players. I'll see if I can bump the thread up to you if I can find it.

I suspect that there is no definitive answer, mainly because MG wouldn't be able to state their reasons publically.

Thinking logically, anything they say publically would have an immediate impact on the business of all their licencees, some of whom are publically listed, so making an announcement might leave them open to litigation. In which case, they would have to leave it to each individual casino to make their own communication with players.

I think it has something to do with the licensing and branding of some (most?) of the new games. If the maker is in the US (like IGT) we can't play... If I'm playing the old games, I'm still gambling, so what's the difference whether I lose at Tstruck or Hellboy?? Makes no sense whatsoever to me, but what do I know...

My primary problem with this is that US players are treated as the black sheep or red-headed step child of the gambling world. Nobody tells us nuttin' about nuttin'..... I suppose we're just supposed to be grateful they'll still take our deposits, huh....

MGs downloading.... pardon my griping...

You know what is REALLY pissing me off about MG right now???

I load up a casino and the damned thing sits there FOREVER grinding and downloading and grinding and downloading... ummm... what?? There are NO NEW GAMES for US players... so are we downloading the damned things anyway??? but just can't access them? And while all this grinding and downloading is going on, the casinos are pretty much unusuable... the slots hic and glitch and skip and stutter... and it's not much better in video poker.... not that the current casino software would ever be mistaken for 'speedy' or 'streamline' even when it's not 'updating'...

and before someone tells me I need faster internet or a better computer or something... I'm on 3Mb DSL and have a 2 year old computer with duo core Intel processor and 4 gigs of freaking RAM... oh... and I have a brand new 1gig video card.... sorry, but I can't go out and buy a new computer every 6 months.

so... if the MGs are NOT downloading all the new games... WTF IS the software downloading/updating?

end of rant....

Your rant:lolup: was just like mine at the end of the year. I had the same issues. Wouldnt load correctly. Mg's response my comp. I knew better too. Used to take less than 15 mins to load ALLL their games. I got po'd and quit playing them after that. I REFUSE to give them my time or money.
