MG tourny with no re-buys, anyone ever win?

Has anyone ever won a free tourny without doing a re-buy?

Am I just wasting my time?

Sure have a few of them with mg. Won the 25 dollar tourney a few times.
Places in top 10 in few other larger tourneys. Highest amount I won without paying to play longer was 250 usd.

I think you mean continue? Many people mix these up.
In most freerolls you don't have a chance without buying continue playtime.
I've played hundreds of hourly exclusives at BelleRock and Villento, won $5 three times without rebuy/continues.
And I won $50 a few weeks ago in a Hitman tourney at Fortune Lounge.
For the top prizes you would need a really unbelieveble free spin round I'm afraid.

I think you mean continue? Many people mix these up.

What is the difference? rebuy/continue

A rebuy is a lower fee to start the tourney all over again. A continue is buying another round starting with the your win count from the last set.

I once got into second place on a big tourney at Royal Vegas on a free entry - of course I was greedy so I bought in (continue) once to get into first place and then once more to stay there.

Last week I was in first in a tourney at River Belle, but didn't buy in and got knocked down to third before it was done - which still gave me $10, normally if I'm in first and don't buy in I get bumped completely out.

I've won quite a few without continueing. When they use to have the 200.00 freerolls, I won the 60.00 a couple of times. Lately though, I'm lucky if I get 60 cents Last week I won 12 bucks at Dash in their 200.00 freeroll.

Just wanted to add a few tips for Just Play. Turn off your sound in the casino you are playing at. You'll get in many more spins. Also, I never play right when it starts. Less lag that way, so more spins.

I played 2 tourneys today and finished 10th and 8th, but you would only get paid if you finished in the top 5

That was early 2008, I think I am already due another one I just noticed that you also meant continues and not just re-buys. I did pay for 3 out of 5 continues in that tournament but it was kind of necessary to secure 1st place. Since I was already at first place I didn't need to pay for the last 2 remaining continues.

It is extremely hard to reach top 10 in any tournament without playing any continues so I think you should be prepared to pay for continues if you get a good starting score.

Nevermind, that wasn't where I finished...lol...after people continued I moved down quite a bit, I think to 28?
