Well, at Ladbrokes anyway.
Obviously MG realised the counting up of credits won during the feature was WAY too slow...
So they tried to fix it... and made it MUCH faster....
But now the amount won appears in the top panel & gets added to your balance BEFORE the multiplier is revealed!!!

D'oh! I wish I was as clever as their software people!

Mind you, I didn't care how quickly this lot added up! :D
(Slowly built up to 5-coins/spin & hit 25 free-spins!)
.

Nice win KK! It's been ages since I got 25 free games, it's usually 10 these days, if I get them at all!
I've noticed the same thing with the count showing before the multiplier at all the casinos I've visited - think it's the same with Kathamandu too. I hope they change it, there's really no point in showing the multiplier as it is now and the suspense of wondering what you will make with a decent multiplier has gone.

I agree! I thought it was my laptop that was screwing it up until I got home from my business trip to discover that is the way it is now. That is sooo crazy stupid. Also I think that the gamble feature was added. If it was there before I didn't notice it. I know it is there now because you cannot see what lines paid what because the 'hit gamble feature...' is at the top. It has really made it not as fun to play. I loved the suspense of wondering what multiplier I would get. I think that some people didn't realize that you could hit the screen and have the credits add up faster. I know that I had to tell my friends that don't read this forum. But do they have to ruin it for the rest of us??

Really? It didn't take long for it to run up my biggest feature win on Harvey's ever last week... 390 pennies off a $1+ bet. Kudos to those who can squeeze anything out of this game. It hates me with a passion. :axeman: And yes I take it personally. :D I no longer touch the game, thus leaving the counting out of allllll those wonderful feature credits for my much luckier friends. :notworthy

I haven't seen the MG 'fix' for the slow counting credits, but it sounds as if there should be yet another patch released soon to fix the fix.

Not the only thing!

I noticed something else, the new "All Aces" video poker is the first one to NOT have the autohold, you could easily* get dealt the 4 Aces, have the win highlight but NOT held and accidentally re-draw all cards!
I also note that Spin Palace excluded it in all promotions along with Craps, Bacarrat and Jacks or Better games, yet I fed it into my spreadsheet and the house edge is in excess of 1% (WTF!!). This is probably the worst VP ever except for single hand Deuces Wild. I have not tried Harveys since this upgrade, but other games also display full totals before the count-up has finished. In Witches Wealth, if you are lucky enough to get the rescue bonus, the total appears bottom right well before the onscreen count-up.

* Figuratively speaking, probably will NEVER actually happen to any of us anytime soon!!

Bu***r!

...But just how peeved would you have been had you not noticed the lack of Autohold ON by default and exchanged your Aces for less!!!

not that I believe you were pat dealt those 4 Aces, looks like you had 3 and got the fourth. I had 3 Aces on this, but didn't get the 4th.

Payback is a mere 98.32%, so why the hell do Spin Palace "ban" the game for bonuses before it even releases!!!! If Full House was 40 and not 35 it would be nearly as good as Jacks or Better, but MG seem to have slipped this awful house edge under our radar, and the lack of Autohold and Autoplay makes this a worse deal, so I would have thought Spin Palace would encourage us to play this with bonuses rather than Blackjack (which is usually allowed at 10% weighting).

If it was only house edge they used to decide which game to disallow from bonus wagering, why the hell do most placed ban ROULETTE? :what:
House edge at least 2.7%! (Single zero version).
That really winds me up!

So does Harveys which still isn't fixed yet.

I think MG should take a month off from developing new games, start a thread here at Casinomeister for feedback, and then fix all those goddamn annoying little problems that all us players know about, but which MG seem to be totally oblivious to! :eek2:

Roulette

Roulette is banned because it is possible to bet on opposites and kill the variance stone dead (almost).
The ban on All Aces makes little sense as their is no "history" of bonus play on this, AND it has no expert mode, so players will do even worse than the house edge as opposed to all other MG Video Poker games.
I suspect someone thought that players would play all bonuses on it and got scared by the big payouts on all 4OK hands compared with the rest. This simply increases the variance, and the casino should make a steady gain of 3 to 4% from most play (no expert mode), better than Roulette!

Probably the best way to beat a Palace bonus is to either play Blackjack at 10% weighting or a low variance slot at 100% weighting. Roulette is often allowed, however a separate term prohibits the use of opposing wagers to beat a promotion.

I think you must have some error in your numbers - I remember an ad of some MG casino that the payout of All Aces would be 99,92%, and I also fed the paytable into my VP calculator - payout 99,915 according to it.

I've noticed It is really dangerous to play All Aces after playing a lot of Double Double bonus, as the autohold feature doesn't exist.

Caliban

I punched the Aces game into WinPoker and came up with 99.92% also. Also found the variance to be painfully high ... something like 65. Which means it will eat you alive if you don't hit quads. The strategy is very similar to DDB.

I do hate it that they don't have auto hold, but then again, it's good for me to practice and learn and play strategies between land based casino trips. I just hope I don't make a $2000 mistake.... :eek2:

Numbers

Thanks,
I will double check my spreadsheet for errors on this. That payout certainly explains the Palace WR ban on the game. I designed my calculator based on the tables at wizardofodds.com - all I need is a strategy for it, probably same as one of the other bonus pokers. At that payout, a 4-up could get interesting!!!!
