Well, if wagers placed contribute to total, I'd imagine it's like the lottery; when it gets up there, more people are buying tickets (playing). I see casinos are also giving away free spins to the game recently and more frequently.

I would guess it is a along the lines of what dionysus said and it would seem that when the jackpot hit €17m (crazy eh) most casinos I would guess had free spin campaigns going out when it hit that amount so that sent the spike into the graph.

Interesting that if it gets hit now it will be the 2nd largest slots jackpot ever won offline or online with just the monster win of $39m won on Mega Bucks the massive offline progressive jackpot.

I'm guessing that the €200k jump is due to Jackpotgraphs losing connection to their jackpotfeed, and when the connection was fixed (maybe 12 hours later?) the graph jumped €200k.

But the game play, as dionysus pointed out, keeps increasing every day as the jackpot grows

Does anyone think it will reach €20 M? I think it will fall out around €19.5 (within 2-3 weeks).
