Hiya: Since this is 4th of July week in the USA, I thought I would post this. The best version i had ever heard, is when i was a Kid, it was sung at an LA Rams football game by Jim Neighbors. I am unable to find his version anywhere. But then i found this version by Meatloaf.

Whom do you think has sung, or sings it best?
See, just because I left America doesent mean i don't care anymore.............:p

JIMI!

Too lazy to post the video but without a doubt the very best has to be Jimi Hendix' instramental version at Woodstock. I literally can not hear that without getting chills up my spine.

I remember what a lovely singing voice Jim Neighbors had. It was always surprising since his speaking style was so different.

On July 4th, 1976, I attended a Neil Young concert in Niagara Falls, NY, where he performed Jimi Hendrix's version. It was a huge hit with the fans, and my most memorable performance of the American National Anthem.

Loved Meatloaf in Fight Club. :D There is a part where they are all running out of somewhere and his pants fall down, they didn't cut...they just went with it....lmao...he just pulls them up as he's running.

I liked last nights performance at the MLB All Star Game by Cobie something, I only found one version on you tube and it was so quiet you couldn't hear it, it had a country twang to it, very pretty voice.
