Max Bet (Bonus Play)

This mostly concerns multi-software browser casinos who implement the following term

- Max bet when playing with a bonus is 5 % of bonus value.

Term itself is perfectly fine, only time that can cause grief is when playing with a monthly 50 % reload,
and making a minimum deposit of € 10. Bonus given is € 5 and max bet therefore 25c.
So basically all play on Microgaming 243 liners is breaking the terms, even on minimum bet of 30c.
Or Reel Rush, Jack Hammer 2, Mythic Maiden, IGT games...the list goes on.

I have seen this term several times in casinos using EveryMatrix, so my question would be
(if any reps recognize that they are using this term), can it be changed to accomodate play on all slots
accross your casinos?

Yes, I think it's a product of doubly overlaid terms when amounts are specified eg. '$5 max stake or 50p per line whichever is least' then a percentage is applied to the bonus like you've stated. Usually the term is there for sizeable $50-150 SUBs as it's an anti-AP facility. I've yet to hear of a casino, especially an accredited one, apply it quite literally when the bonus is small for an established player or a small SUB which wouldn't be taken by an AP as they take the biggest possible. Although I agree there should be exceptions specified in the examples you've stated. It's just scripted bonus terms which they post each time and omit to amend.

I agree I think they should do max bet on a bonus $5 or something like that. That way there is no confusion and low rollers won't run into any problems. I got bit by that 5% rule a couple of years ago at 10bet on a bonus of 17 euro. Anyway especially for low rollers having a max bet amount rather than a percentage on a slot is much easier to keep track off. I usually bet anywhere from min bet to $2 a spin depending on my balance.
The max bet rule is there to protect the casino from advantage players which I get but 5% on a bonus for people who don't deposit a large amount is ridiculous IMHO
