Wouldn't consider myself a superstitious person, but I have a few completely illogical things I do or have done to encourage some luck, not just on slots but also in sports or playing a game.
I blow on the dice when I roll them in a board game. I always played my best games of football in a pair of new boots, so if I had a big game, would waste money on new boots for the occasion.
I used to play a lot of slots at my friends when I started, he is a West Ham fan who sometimes goes off to the toilet in the last 10 minutes of a match because they would often score when he did. We would sometimes get his missus to press spin because we asked her once and a bonus dropped, after that she was known as having 'the lucky finger'.
With slots, I sometimes walk away and leave a bonus to play out, because my biggest win on DOA2 was when I was making a coffee and missing all the action, so, I still sometimes walk away when a bonus drops - as bonkers as some casino rulings, I know.
Yesterday, I was playing a game in demo trying for over an hour to trigger a bonus and my little girl asked what I was doing. I don't tell her it's gambling or even let her watch for any length of time - I'm a bit overprotective like that but said I was trying to get a game to do something for a long time and it just wasn't happening. She went and got my hat and gave me a kiss for luck, literally as the bonus dropped.
I won't be asking her for any lucky kisses, but I might start wearing my hat if things are playing dry.
Does anyone else do anything illogical for luck when spinning the reels?
