I'm new to the online gaming community. I am looking for a place to play poker against others for lower wages and have the opportunity to play in tournaments and such. As a US player, I am sure that I am incredibly limited in this area, but what's the lowest wages and most available tourneys I am looking at.

Thanks

Try Bodog, lots of micro limit tables and free roll tourneys.

I think its the ONLY option for a US based player these days.

Bodog still allows US to play poker?

yes, I played there last night for several hours. But I had an account opened there quite awhile ago.

Not sure if they are taking NEW players. Someone more knowledgeable than me will have to answer that question.

Bodog

Bodog is halting business from the US marketplace here in a couple of weeks if I am not mistaken. Luvin Poker is good for beginners I hear, they are part of the Everleaf network me thinks. I believe they are still taking USA players as well, so check it out. BetOnline Poker is too...they have hourly freerolls and free cash games last time I checked.

EDIT: Seems as if I was mistaken, the name is just going to change as the brand itself is leaving the USA market.

I would try Cake Poker. They accept USA players and they were very popular even before the US shut down the major poker sites

Stealth spammer. The guy has three accounts - makes posts that include this image xhttp://www.casvb.com/images/8.jpg

which is nothing but a tracking image for casvb.com - a "casino bonus" website - whoopie!!

Good way to have your affy accounts shut down.

Just wanted to confirm that we are just talking about a name change here :) The company that owns the bodog.eu software and runs the operations, Morris Mohawk Gaming Group, will no longer be using the bodog brand name as of December 31st, 2011 and will rebrand itself as a result.

Thanks,
Becky

Have they announced what the brand will be yet? If not, is there an announcement date set?

I actually settled on Cake Poker to try. It seemed good for beginners. I didn't accept any bonuses or anything. I get a free $5 for every like $XX amount that I spend or something like that.

Cake Poker actually isn't so great. The same tournaments over and over again and not much variety in what you can do. The do have small plays and free rolls but nothing too great. I am probably going to try one of the ones you guys had suggested.

Thanks for all the suggestions btw

Do you guys happen to know the min deposits for those sites? Particularly Bodog? I am looking for low deposit sites. Cake Poker is pretty good with that because their min is $25.

Thanks
