Holy Shit Jazzy! OLG of all places. I hate that site but I think I could learn to love it had I gotten a win like that.

Glad you have a plan for the money, would be such a waste to gamble most of it back in the hope of a repeat!

Well done and what a win indeed!! Olg, yea,, being Canadian and from Ontario I know they investigate everything excessively and will take 3 weeks to pay. I had a buddy of mine win $100k on a scratch ticket, plus $45k on Pick4 (guy lucky as hell) andit took weeks, so stay strong, wait for the coin to come and enjoy.

A little story for you, about 10 yrs ago I played often at PartyCasino and hit a random for $113k usd, prolly put $30k back in, so it real easy to get into the high rolling ways Jas - bail on that mindset, keep the cash, set aside $10k for fun and enjoy! If you do that ,then you've paid off the house, traveled with your daughter and can still enjoy hitting the slots. Stay the hell out of OLG Casinos though ,they pay 85% on a good day, was at Woodbine other week, place busy, didn't see or hear a single jackpot - so disgusting!

Please post here how it goes, I've thought about joining there and depositing but not keen on those dirty bastard Liberals knowing my shit...lol

These are @95% slots, and no loyalty points either. I don't play there often for just that reason, and while I have withdrawn before, my track record is not great.

Once I was past my cashout goal (1K for a trip) I just kept playing and upping my bets. I kept changing the brackets of where I would cash out as my balance rose, and I had actually played for a very long time in the $30 to $60 range. I'd been up to $28K, and decided balls out to cash out at $25K.

This might sound stupid, but I would't actually WANT to win that sort of cash.

Always lived 'day to day' and 'made do' etc and although not quite on the scrap heap always have to budget and manage income etc.

With that sort of cash I would probably give most away to those who have been there for me and looked after me throughout life, mainly my poor old mother :p

True story - My aunt was playing baccarat at land based casino here in Melbourne (Crown Casino) about 5 years ago. Not sure how it works because I never played but my mother (who was with my aunt) told me if you play at $50 a hand or something and you get J,Q,K and an A you can press some button for a mini game to win a prize. So she got the required suits and pressed the button and she won $750,000 AUD !!!

Indeed she got freakin excited and proceeded to piss in her seat - which staff had to escort here to some special room and everyone had to leave the table for it to be cleaned LOL. So obviously it does happen! Would love to know more stories of 'bodily accidents' upon excitement of huge wins!
 
Years and years ago, when I worked for the National Defence College, for every new class my boss would use an analogy how we were appearingly placid swans, but under that calm sufiace, our feet were paddling for all we are worth.

I have not yet got the win, but already I'm having arguments about why I am not more generous. Well, only one,and that argument ended pretty quickly.

For the first time since I won and posted here, I checked my OLG account.

Nothing has been reversed or put back in my account.

I'm ultimately sure it will all be well, I'm an Ontario resident with ID, but I am not confident it will be swift.

But I am felling stressed about it all. Even good stress is stress. Imodium does not work instantly, but it is a pretty good drug.
 
Hopefully they will be in contact this week, Jas - I can understand your anxiety and I am surprised that someone at OLG has not yet contacted you to congratulate you and take you through the required process to get your money. This is a substantial win deserving of some special attention.

Edited to add: If there is someone trying to pressure you for an unearned share in your good fortune that does not say much about the person involved imo.

Jazzy -- usually it is the bank that delays it for about 3 days. And, I'm sure OLG will take their time releasing these funds seeing that it is a large amount. Do not worry though -- you will get it for sure. Might take up to a week though. I know my first withdrawal took quite a while and it was less then $100.

and if you play Back 20k , withdraw limit goes 1k in month

I think you'll be OK, but just in case have a lawyer handy to make things go faster :p

My sister,mum and I are opening up a cafe in melbourne city that is on a 150 year old heritage building owned by melbourne government. We put in the proposal and business plans last June expecting things to go fast and they had pre-approved everything yet by November we were still waiting for them to green light us so we can renovate the place and start setting up the business. As its a heritage building there are quite a lot of restrictions in place on what we can and can't do but we had several meetings with them and they had no issues with it at all - yet they took their sweet ass time in giving us official confirmation to begin our business.

We had to get a lawyer write up a letter to the melbourne government giving them an ultimatum to give us approval in 7 days or we will pull out and reclaim our lost invested money back. Low and behold - they came back the very next day and signed all the legal paperwork for us to proceed - all it took was for some minister to sign it. What I'm getting at is they are so lazy they could have done all this in a space of 1-2 weeks if they wanted but they took their time and as its a cafe business I'm not even sure they cared enough about it.

So if things take too long - get a good lawyer on the case :P

I'm sure I will be fine too.

But today was back to work and not an email or a phone call. Site still shows as requested, with a header may take 3-5 business days.

My first withdrawal with them showed that for two days after I had got the money, six business days later.

Like most casinos, I consented to a photo and first name and last initial being used for anything they deem promotion worthy.

I've been here a long time, 100K plus winners are not everyday stuff. I cannot believe there has been no communication, and I also don't reasonably expect there not be be a higher level of checks than I had to submit my passport.

I'll do my best once I am paid to see there's a little fun for everyone, and Mark from 32Red has offered to help me with offering this, and 3Dice will let me have something as well I believe so my US based friends are not out of the loop.

I'm so thrilled, and I love the outpouring of good wishes here so much.

Big or small, that cashout button is a pretty good feeling.

I've really started looking at what the home improvement stuff is going to cost, and I think I'd have to borrow money to do it all! Pretty sure at this point Vegas is off my to do list. Vegas is not somewhere I want to do on a tight budget.

Cuba in April with my girlfriends is definitely on, and I think there's a strong possibility I'll make the Amsterdam conference in June.

It's been hard to sleep or concentrate past few days.

As part of my compulsively checking my email and cashier and bank account, it was the first thing I was doing when I woke in the middle of the night.

It's in my bank account.

All of it.

Still shows as requested in my casino cashier.

No email, no phone call.
