I cant find the post, but someone recently asked this question to Ladbrokes support, and they stated that Ladbrokes wont add any new games anymore to the casino.
They did not give a reason.

That's kind weird. Did you get the impression that was a temporary thing? Maybe they're getting ready to switch software?

Thats strange, ive noticed the amount of slots promotions has been less also, usually there were a few each week. But will wait and see what happens but looks like i will be playing elsewhere from now on.

Twas me that asked in live support, they simply responsed with "we have no plans to add any new games to the casino for the forseable future"
They also seem to have not updated their games site in quite a while too. Will be interesting to see what these guys have planned, or whether they are having an argument with MG?

I am now convinced they are planning to move over to Cassava software once their planned takeover of Cassava is complete. If they FAIL to win this takeover though, they may stick with MGS after all, and maybe then WILL update all the games.

It must have something to do with the deal with MGS, where taking new games increases the fees payable, and which may also tie them into a longer term contract, such as to pay for xx months in advance for each new game taken. Freezing the software is likely to be cheaper, and would be the best business move if they were NOT planning to stick with MGS long term. Since they have not YET finalised the deal, they probably have not yet given MGS formal notice of termination, so dare not tell PLAYERS of this intent before they tell MGS, just in case they piss off MGS, and then find they are stuck with them because the takeover deal fell through.

NOT updating the current software WILL cause their players to slowly drift to somewhere better, so they have had to balance the risks and benefits of saving the cost of taking new games.

Running down the promotions also makes it easier to shift software, as they are not going to piss players off who are playing a long term promotion, only to find it unexpectedly cancelled along with a sudden software change.

Previously, both William Hill and Littlewoods made the move from Cryptologic, with William Hill going to Playtech, and Littlewoods going to Cassava as one of those pesky white labels.
