I have been trying a few different casino providers recently.
When it comes to verification through the provision of driver’s license and proof of address, are some places using this info to check my credit.
I ask this because on three occasions my credit score has dipped 3 or 5 points (indicative of a hard credit enquiry) around the time I am verifying an account in order to get paid.
I’m not particularly bothered about the 3 points, I just don’t like the idea of my credit report being littered with enquiries from online casinos for which I did not give permission.

If your in the UK your credit score means diddle squat its a made of number its Whats on your credit file that matters clear the balance of a credit card and the score will drop which dosnt make sense (but it does as its all made up)
Various UK casinos will carry a soft check on your credit file to confirm age identity Etc but that search will have zero impact on your report or made up score

Well in Canada I think it might be a looser arrangement.
Unauthorised enquiries do occur. Local legislation is quite toothless and the prevailing advice is not to get too worked up about 3 to 5 points unless you want start paying for expensive legal assistance.
I have reached the stage life where my credit score is flatlining simply because I am not applying for new credit, I have no mortgage and the cards get paid off each month. And so what is prompting these downward blips.
The only thing I have been doing for the last little while is relieving the boredom by playing online and making some good withdrawals which require verification.

Could have sworn your location read different but i have weary eyes.

Unauthorised enquiries happen in the UK also.

Do casinos accept credit cards in Canada?

I think you should review your credit history, any inquiries are tagged with the inquirer, I have never had an online casino do a credit check, credit reporting is crooked AF, I have excellent credit, own multiple businesses and am active with my credit due to my businesses, my score between Equifax and Trans union differ by almost 60pts.....

I'm in Canada, too. There's no reason for a casino to credit check you here for identity purposes. There's no rules here. If a casino from Malta decided not to pay you, you have no extant Canadian legislative body to appeal to. You'd be sol.

Your credit situation is likely something else.

What? You mean I have been building my credit scores up for years for nothing? LOL

But seriously, it’s not quite like that the problem is each credit agency scores differently and certain lenders score each criteria differently so it can feel like they made up but not really it’s all about each factor that they scoring, the 3 main ones in uk rate me at

Credit karma 649 of 710
Clear score 827 of 1000
Experian 999 of 999

So in an ideal world each would be at max if one is, but they not.

Most casino have it in there T&C in regards to Credit checking So although they don't do it there is no Breach happening as by joining and accepting there T&C you have already given them permission to check at there will and discretion. However the only check they Do is as mentioned above, To confirm your ID and Address. They also check for red Flags (Fraud recording). All these have zero impact on your files and scores

Virgin Bet have been having a mad session on my credit file this month. Seriously thinking of ditching my remaining UK accounts now. Why would you check twice in two days, and twice on both those days?

(I haven't been spending much there, so they shouldnt have any concerns - couple of low rolling sessions with single deposits).

Casinos are just scared of being fined to buggery, that's why they'd rather check someone's credit file four times in two days, than be called out for allowing a punter to 'gamble beyond their means' and get hit with a £2million fine
