Just had an email, Stating there are moving, More info here kerchingcasino.com/images/landing-pages/new-desktop/

So they're not closing - just moving.
I don't know what that means exactly - but I guess player balances will be safe.

KK

Basically they are closing. They are opening a new site shortly but you need to reregister with it. Any balances you have can still be withdrawn but they will not be transferred to the new site.

This screws the affiliates, their tags will be dropped when players reregister at the new site. Why can't they simply move, after all, it seems all they are doing is move from Alderney regulation to Gibraltar. This move is being handled as a complete closure, followed by an opening of a completely new site. Existing players are likely to reregister directly (this is where affiliates get screwed), and before any affiliate program for the new site is up and running.

Even if they wanted to, this method would make it difficult for them to carry over the tags and matching old existing players to the "right" new player.

For players, they may be wondering why they can't simply be "migrated", but will see it as just an inconvenience, not realising that for affiliates, it is a seriously damaging difference (depending on how much income they are receiving from current active players they have referred).

It's not much different from when Grand Prive emailed to urge me to register direct at their new EU facing site because the old 5 casinos "would be closing down soon".

From a business perspective, asking players to migrate themselves will lead to fewer players initially playing at the new site than were they to be migrated and then emailed an opening offer and invite to try out the new site and games.

Yep, for sure. Just picked up the mail now. I personally won't be affected by losing the existing player base, but some will.

I got the same e-mail but the 'more info here' link only says same as e-mail.

Used to play heavy there but not for years now, Can i ask from a players point of view, is this one of few places that had/may still have the original Cleopatra slot please? (Ie, the fast one without the stupid BIG win' thingymabob when you win 20p ) cheers

I agree the original fast version of Cleopatra is an absolute classic and they really made it a lot worse with the "upgrade" a few years back.

Grovesnor online is one place that has old school cleopatra
