Hi new to the forum. I have a query about slotsmagic. When it was jackpot party I self excluded myself for the maximum term then when it changed to slotsmagic I was able to place bets with the same account my question is do you think I could claim back losses from slotsmagic for whatever reason?

Thanks

Had your self-exclusion expired?

I was self-excluded at Jackpot Party when they switched over, and when I logged in to Slots Magic to use my £10 freebie my account was also locked there. I enquired about it with the support team via e-mail and they confirmed that my Jackpot Party self-exclusion was still in effect, and that I could play when my self-exclusion had expired. I logged in when it expired and the £10 was then playable.

Not sure if that helps you or not, I'm just saying that they did appear to be honouring self-exclusions from JP.

hi scots nope sorry to say no & you shouldnt be gambling there anyway if youve self excluded from jackpotparty , the only reason you could is because its not jackpot party any longer , take it on the chin & take your losses !

sorry ac7x didnt see your reply )_

Thanks for the response. I was definitely self excluded from jackpot party. Ive took the losses on the chin but was willing to give it go worth a try. I see it as a major flaw for people who have self excluded coz I was bombarded with emails from slotsmagic with free bonuses etc. I know its partly my responsibility aswell

Did you self exclude due to a gambling problem (should be permanent exclusion) or did you self exclude for a cooling off period? You say max term and I am a bit unclear on that point. If you self excluded due to gambling issues then you shouldn't have even tried to deposit and play at Slotsmagic as Mrjones stated.
If it was still the same casino that allowed you to deposit and play after you self excluded yourself for gambling addiction reasons then I would say you have a case (even though you should not have done it!)
Because this is technically a new casino and you did not request a self exclusion there I would say you have no case. Some of the self exclusions may have carried over but as with all software changes sometimes data does get lost in the transfer. In addition I would suggest if you have gambling issues ask the mods to move you to the quit gambling section. If this does not apply to you then I apologize in advance:)

When somebody self excludes it doesnt really matter what the issue is I should not be able to gamble at that casino. It looks like I dnt have a case but thanks guys thats why came on the forum to get peoples views on it

Well they tried claiming to me it was still the same company just a name changed and slots, I can probably dig out the emails if will help in anyway, But I doubt it as we all no it was not just a name change, They must of forgot about the terms, the wr, the poor cs, it be easy to say what did they not change,
Wait to see what other people say as already 1 person has stated that self exclusion existed for them, Give it a bash,

I just dug this up, the legal disclaimer when Jackpot Party changed to Slots Magic. So by reading this I infer its a new casino under new management and not just a name change. Skill on net bought the database. Anyway as I said in my previous post sometimes data gets lost in a switch over. I have been involved in system switch overs in the past which had large amounts of data and some of it did get lost (totally different industry btw). So I was just suggesting that it is possible that this happened in this case.
