Just posting it here until JackpotCity do or don't make up for themselves.
I have exsisting accounts with several other casinos that provide MicroGaming so I am not to blame. When I was unwillingly locked out my balance was about 100 euro and they claim its just 42 euro as well. Very strange from an accredited casino...

Email sent to them:

Hi my name is XXXXX XXXXXX,

I am sad to report one of your employees misconduct in dealing with registration of this account.

I know that I have a global 6 month self-ban with SOME micro-gaming casinos, this is why I checked with XXXX XXXX if it
was possible for me to open an account at JackpotCity.

He checked and told me that it was no problem and that I was welcome to do so.

I deposited 150 euro and start playing suddenly I am logged out with the message that I am locked out of the system.

I accept that he made a mistake by not controlling your local/global lists, all I ask is that my deposit is returned to me.

In the future I advise that your employees routines are updated.

Pretty disappointed.. that you might speculate in letting people deposits and then steal their money by locking them out.

This will also be posted to several casino forums online.

Worth mentioning

NR 1: Their casino rep has been informed.
NR 2: Red Flush casino is also on the same list and they have routines making it unable to make a deposit, for players with the same 6 month ban. (Which in my case is over sept. 6)

The simplest solution would be to wait till Sept 7th. Assume ALL casinos are on the list until then, no matter what their CS tells you, until you get the all clear in writing from management.

I think CS should not be so free in telling a new player who ADMITS they have self excluded elsewhere that it is OK for them to play. They should say "NO, let me check with management/security first". Morally, it is wrong, even if technically it's OK if the casino uses a different list.

The idea of exclusion is to prevent ANY gambling for the specified period, not merely redirect it to sites not covered by the list.

Technically, they have to return the deposit as they made the mistake of giving the OK and then locked the account. Technically, this also means that winnings too are void, and casinos seem pretty keen to act properly when things are this way around.

Thanks:)

Cant wait for sept 7.th when I can go back to 32red (32 group, Dash etc..)(my favorite) I have had a good dialog with both them and Platinum play (fortune group) during this period. JackpotCity has just been sloppy here. BTW the ban does NOT include providers of several different software it seems:)

Thanks for taking time to answer:)

Surely you could have waited for a month to get back in at 32Red and Fortune Lounge, rather than take the risk of opening a new account at a casino of which you have no experience. They are accredited, but there have been a few other incidents of "speculative behaviour" from them recently, so maybe not the best place to try and get a gambling fix with an exclusion still in force.

It’s a shame when a person has chosen to self-exclude because they have issues and these happen, no judgement is inferred, it is the way things turn out sometimes.

It would be nice to know a system was in place to globally prevent further activities but we all know this would never work.

It seems that on one hand that a person didn’t research enough to know they hit the wrong site in regards to the self-exclusion policy in place and on the other the customer support did not pick it up initially.

People are only human and not machines and mistakes are made, when a person chooses to self-exclude they have the advantage of knowing that they should not use any services that offer gambling.

Picking and choosing sites not covered under that exclusion scope whilst technically possible is not really fair, both for a person involved and any other casino.

When someone self excludes from one casino they really should think of it as a blanket ban from every other.

An error in customer service that may be a subsidiary of another is not uncommon and whilst mistakes have to be corrected I would not myself be unwilling to charge an administration fee for time taken to save a person with a problem and the time taken to process payments, refund and further paperwork and reports to managers.

Self-exclusion is an important milestone in a person’s life and not one that should be dismissed easily, some get over it and play within their means but others see it as a temporary stop-gap before they return to ways that they regret again.

I would possibly suggest any history of self-exclusion within a reasonable period be mandatory when signing up to a new account.

P.S. Money owed below the deposit I am sure will be corrected if incorrect.

Self Ban from specific provider

They claim the self ban was because of gambling addiction. The self ban was because I needed some time away from the high variance games that MG provides or at least I felt like I did at the time. I have several playtech and net ent sites that I have used for the last 5 months. MG(casino representing them) called me several times on my cellphone and at the end I just game them the "I play to much" explanation.

I haven't had any problems with losing more the I can afford(relative term) once in my 4-5 year online history.

I agree with what you are saying except there could be reason for a self ban from a specific provider apart from general gambling addiction.

We all know how frustrating those high variance MG can be when you go on a cold streak for weeks:)....

PS: Love the idea of "any self exclutions in the last 6 months" check. Favorable for both parts really.

Update

Just received a mail that they have ordered a withdrawal for 150 EURO back to my entropay account.

Will mark as resolved (delete tread) as soon as I receive the money.

Seems like one can trust JackpotCity to make things right.
