It seems like an evil form of addware.

I have had some myself before, not as yours though.
All of the casinobanners on every forum was switched to banners for other things. Mostly porn:eek2:
I was hijacked and it took a lot of effort to remove, so I hope you can remove yours easier.

Adware

Adaware (free) may find it, or Spybot S & D. If these fail, Malwarebytes should get it.

I had something that took me somewhere else when I clicked Google search results. It was Malwarebytes that found and killed it.

The above looks like one of those dodgy "helpers" that can get installed into browsers. The above three scanners should find it.

You've had this a week or so now? The sooner you get rid of it, the better.

If you use IE, go up to Tools, and Manage Add-Ons. Check and see what sort of crap add ons may be running. You just might be able to spot the culprit there and disable it (turn it off, remove it, whatever) though with unwanted adware/malware, that usually doesn't work for long.

Check out the utilities mentioned previously and run some scans. Good luck.

Im not sure, seems some of the members are, but i do have a tip:
If you get rid of this one, download ccleaner (crapcleaner) and run that rpogram at startup, and after every browsing session.
I sometimes even run it whilst in a session, and strange things are happening. (like decrease of speed/flash disturbances/unwanted pop-ups/etc.)
Since i use this little gem of freeware, my infections have decreased by 99.9 procent.
If something happens to get by, or if i feel the sudden urge to click suspect links anyway, then i resort to malwarebytes to fix it.

that's my advise i personally think face book is a haven for hackers because a awful lot of peeps give there real names and other personal info out there
