In this age of VOIP and other types of free long distance communication would it be possible to set up a small ISP in a "free" State and let people from "repressive" States sign up to a casino from a "Free" States IP block?

Anyone know why this wouldn't work?

"Two weeks before Halloween, former Senate majority leader and apparent gubernatorial candidate Bill Frist is barnstorming across Tennessee for a cadre of creepy GOP candidates plagued by a laundry list of political problems.
Bill Frists gubernatorial campaign is off to a rocky start as he rallies behind a motley crew of folks who frankly dont live up to their credentialed conservative claims, said Tennessee Democratic Party Chairman Gray Sasser. Theyre scary, to say the least, and make Frists buddies in Washington look downright honorable."

If he runs, 99.9% chance he is elected!!

Sorry for the semi-derail!!

edit: Here's a great article regarding Geolocation based on your IP address:

I already have a workaround in place if Pennsylvania ever makes the 'banned' list.

I use an "air" card from Verizon for Internet access. I can get online anywhere I can get a Verizon signal....so basically it's a cellular modem. :D It's also great for trips, so you don't have to pay $11+ a day for access. I can plug it into any computer and go....

But anyways, back to the topic....

errr. ACK

New Jersey is in the list of banned states!!!! I'm physically in, and a resident of, Pennsylvania right now (about 2 hours from New Jersey,) and my IP comes back as being in Jersey!

Hmm, I wonder how this is going to work out, and how they can tell what state you're in....and NOT be wrong about it. I just logged into Crazy Poker (MG Network,) so everything's ok so far..:)
